Clothes shopping can be both a pleasure and chore, depending on where you’re shopping and who you’re shopping for! Especially if you’re looking for something nice for a fussy DC. Ted Baker would love you to share your favourite piece from their kidswear range, as well as letting us know which qualities you look for when selecting clothing for you and your DC.

Here’s what Ted Baker has to say: “Ted’s new kidswear collection is designed for little scamps of all ages, from bouncing babies to older boys and girls developing a passion for fashion. With a focus on bright, beautiful colours and stylish prints, B by Ted Baker will ensure your little one is the best dressed in the playground, with practical finishing touches for easier adventures (and machine washable fabrics for easier cleaning!). Whether it’s the perfect party look or something stylish for every day, Ted has thought of an outfit for every occasion.”

Which items caught your eye and why? Check the website and post a link to your faves on the thread below.

We would also love to know what you look for when out clothes shopping for yourself or your DC? Maybe your main concern is for durability and ensuring that those jeans last through numerous knee-slides? Perhaps it’s price? Or finding an outfit that fits perfectly? Do you have a seasonal colour scheme that you stick to religiously, or are you much more interested in comfort?

Tell us which qualities you look for in the ideal outfit, as well as posting a link to your favourite item from the Ted Baker kidswear range and you will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Ted Baker voucher. Ted Baker will also be giving 3 MNers the chance to win their favourite kidswear item!

Thanks and good luck!

The Minniy Cotton pleated dress is adorable - www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/Baby-Girl/c/kids_girls_baby?int_cmpid=_kids_content_lp_baby-girl_uk_15 - and yellow is so on trend at the moment!

www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Girls/CEYLAN-Printed-cotton-maxi-dress-Fuchsia/p/152149-FUCHSIA is beautiful and little lady would look lovely in it.

I love ted bakers iconic floral patterns and their quality is amazing. I find they are expensive and good for an event but they never fit for long

love this outfit with the lollipops

I love this printed cotton sleepsuit www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Baby/LEZINA-Printed-cotton-sleepsuit-White/p/151853-WHITE

Because it reminds me so much of when my children were babies - we loved the thick cotton Ted Baker sleepsuits.

Now they are older I tend to look for plain, colourful but patternless separates so they can quickly put together their own outfits.

I would definitely consider Ted Baker for occasion wear though.

I love this beautiful skater dress: www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Girls/CARRLEN-Skater-dress-Yellow/p/151848-YELLOW

My niece would look gorgeous in it and my DD17 would love it if they did her size as it is her favourite colour.

I'm not sure I have criteria for shopping for my lot, although whatever I buy has to be good value. By that I mean I expect to get my money's worth. I don't mind buying a load of cheap t shirts for play wear and them not holding shape that well for example, but I'd be annoyed if I spent a lot on a special item and the quality wasn't up to the job.

My very red haired daughter would look fab in this: www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Baby/MARTIZI-Cotton-romper-and-hat-set-Yellow/p/151872-YELLOW

Comfort and durability is the main thing I look for when looking for clothes for DD. She is 12 months old and currently bums everywhere rather than crawling and I have noticed that that some trousers/leggings become worn quite quickly or with denims there more fashionable the functional as she can't seem to get a full range of movement in them.

Price is not too much of a factor but I would want good quality if paying above average and would not pay what I felt is excessive for an item however as my DD gets older I wouldn't mind spending slightly more as she will get more wear and won't be growing out of things as quickly.

I do like summer clothes to have a more summery feel to them or flowers, pastels and brighter colours. Light fabrics and light layers for chillier day's/nights.

This was my favourite item of your collection it is very similar to a light green ted baker romper that my DD has when she first left hospital it was the only item of tiny baby clothes we had and it fitted her perfectly, I have kept it in her memory box.

Searching for the perfect outfit for my 8 month old beautiful daughter is one of the many perks of being blessed with a girl as lovely as she is! However, there's a couple of manageability issues I try to avidly avoid.
The first is fiddly buttons - I'm not sure if it's only me who's baby takes inspiration from Michael Flatly Lord of The Dance, but how I'm supposed to faff with these buttons (with too-small button holes seamed in by cunning possibly over worked and under appreciated seamstresses??!) I don't know! The second, is finding an outfit that stays where it should. Perhaps when the children pose for the photo shoot they are actually photoshopped into these flawlessly uncreased outfits that don't ride up so you lose the entire bottom half of your baby's face on those shots! Taking these things in to consideration, plus the obvious size and fit, colour coordination, cost, and most importantly cuteness; I have made the choice of the following item as my favourite. My little one would look absolutely gorgeous in it and I'd love to prove it!! 🤞🤞🤞

I just had my second baby six weeks ago and I can't wait to dress him and his older brother in cute matching outfits when the baby is a little older. This is my favourite item from the kidswear range:

For my children, I look for clothes with bright, feel-good colours and cute prints. For my part, I like to wear dresses which fit well and combine comfort with style.
