Clothes shopping can be both a pleasure and chore, depending on where you’re shopping and who you’re shopping for! Especially if you’re looking for something nice for a fussy DC. Ted Baker would love you to share your favourite piece from their kidswear range, as well as letting us know which qualities you look for when selecting clothing for you and your DC.

Here’s what Ted Baker has to say: “Ted’s new kidswear collection is designed for little scamps of all ages, from bouncing babies to older boys and girls developing a passion for fashion. With a focus on bright, beautiful colours and stylish prints, B by Ted Baker will ensure your little one is the best dressed in the playground, with practical finishing touches for easier adventures (and machine washable fabrics for easier cleaning!). Whether it’s the perfect party look or something stylish for every day, Ted has thought of an outfit for every occasion.”

Which items caught your eye and why? Check the website and post a link to your faves on the thread below.

We would also love to know what you look for when out clothes shopping for yourself or your DC? Maybe your main concern is for durability and ensuring that those jeans last through numerous knee-slides? Perhaps it’s price? Or finding an outfit that fits perfectly? Do you have a seasonal colour scheme that you stick to religiously, or are you much more interested in comfort?

Tell us which qualities you look for in the ideal outfit, as well as posting a link to your favourite item from the Ted Baker kidswear range and you will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Ted Baker voucher. Ted Baker will also be giving 3 MNers the chance to win their favourite kidswear item!

Thanks and good luck!

My little guy would look awesome on holiday in this:
www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Boys/BOBBUIL-Cotton-ice-lolly-T-shirt-and-shorts-set-Assorted/p/151988-ASSORTED

I look for comfort over anything else. If he's comfortable in his clothes, then he'll have fun for sure

peanutbutter310 · 28/05/2018 21:25

Love this for DD, 13 months: www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Baby/MADLEN-Cotton-top-and-plain-leggings-set-Bright-Blue/p/151865-BRT-BLUE

Perfect for sunny days like we've been enjoying this weekend!

I'm looking for comfort, plus something that can I easily wrestle onto a wriggly toddler!

This www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Boys/MADHATE-Block-stripe-cotton-polo-shirt-Assorted/p/152107-ASSORTEDBeowulf look great on my son. He likes a splash of colour but nothing too outlandish and this would be perfect.

I love the MATELDA cotton romper and hat set:

www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Baby/MATELDA-Cotton-romper-and-hat-set-White/p/151873-WHITE

With lots of play dates planned in the park this summer, this is just the thing my little explorer needs!

runkaterun · 28/05/2018 22:15

Kids clothes have to wash well, deal with occasional mud, impromptu trips to the park, and not get in the way of having a great time whilst still looking great. I picked this for my daughter www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/Older-Girls/CHARETA-One-shoulder-jumpsuit-Navy/p/151859-NAVY she might have other ideas though.....!

This would be beautiful for a special occasion.

I also look for quality when buying cloths that will wash well.

I adore this outfit, its perfect for any little Princess. The yellow colour and design is perfect for summer, and ideal that it comes with a pretty sun hat. The bows on the straps just complete the outfit, its beautiful.

When looking for clothes for my girls I'm quite particular. I want clothes that stand out, and are of great quality. I am more than happy to pay more when I know it's a brand that lasts. It's also important that they wash well. There's no point buying them if they fall apart of bobble quickly. So the quality of the fabric is definitely a big factor in buying. I also love clothes that are expertly cut - rather than looking like sacks. Some children's clothes are so shapeless, and it spoils them.

I love Ted Baker - for the quality, cut and design. Ted Baker never disappoints, and I am always happy to pay more for an item I know will last.

I am currently eyeing up the Chareta one-shoulder jumpsuit for my oldest daughter. It looks perfect to wear in the day - but also to wear to special occasions. I love the cute one-shoulder look.

I think this dress is gorgeous. www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Girls/MIRINIA-Printed-cut-out-skater-dress-Pink/p/151844-PINK
I really like Ted Baker Kids for special occasions they have some beautiful clothes and I love the fact that they are well made with quality materials so I can wash them without them losing their shape or te=heir colour.

www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Boys/MADHATE-Block-stripe-cotton-polo-shirt-Assorted/p/152107-ASSORTED My 11 year old would love these. They are comfy for him

WelshMumof1 · 29/05/2018 13:02

My favourite item is this dungaree set www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Baby/NUMBLOC-Cotton-twill-dungarees-and-T-shirt-set-Assorted/p/151920-ASSORTED (my son is in 18-24 months). It's bright and colourful and looks very unique - something I couldn't find elsewhere.

I think my concerns are quality, sustainability and price - but it really has to look good too. I'm happy to pay a higher price for good quality items that will last a long time, and I'll also support ethical farming or manufacturing. Obviously for children comfort is also a big factor as they have to be happy wearing it. I like simple but bright and attractive clothing for my son. For myself, a good fit has to be there which is a lot harder to find these days.

reenu26 · 29/05/2018 14:13

I normally go for bright colors as they look so cute and the clothes should also be comfortable not scratchy! I would love this pretty dress for my daughter!

I LOVE this dress:

www.tedbaker.com/uk/Kids/All-Girls/CARRLEN-Skater-dress-Yellow/p/151848-YELLOW

Dd looks gorgeous in yellow it's my favourite clothing colour right now.

I always try to buy things in 'outfits' when I buy unfortunately, though, the dc are now at the age where they want to choose everything themselves! Dd has expensive taste and loves everything in the TB range I've just shown her!

helly27 · 29/05/2018 16:07

The CHARETA One-shoulder jumpsuit is my favourite
