Finding out tips and tricks for doing the laundry can make it all a bit easier - but how much do you actually know about the dos and don’ts of laundry? Take our quiz to find out.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “After decades of listening to scientists, parents, shoppers and children we think of ourselves as the laundry experts for families. But there is always more to learn! Share your dos, don’t and tricks of the trade with us so we can make sure our products are made for you!”

However much you think you know about laundry, take our quiz to find out how well your knowledge stands up to the test and share how you did on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

I got half right and half wrong Blush I thought I knew it all until today!

FromthePinkGlitterySide · 28/03/2018 17:22

I got 62%, considering that everything goes in the washer and tumble dryer and if something ends up ruined I just chuck it, I'm surprised it wasn't less.

Theimpossiblegirl · 28/03/2018 17:33

62%
I wash most things on a 40 cycle, apart from the odd hot white wash. I don't own anything dry-clean only, I don't have a tumble dryer, so most labels don't really apply to me.

Backtotheoldhouse · 28/03/2018 17:47

75% could be worse. My washing machine is 18 years old now, actually made in Wales. It won't wash cooler than 40 C though so I have to hand wash more delicate items or they shrink.

KizzyBear · 28/03/2018 17:58

75% I was expecting worse tbf. Grin

myusernameisnotmyusername · 28/03/2018 18:42

62% and I thought I knew all there is to know about the washing!

polkadotrocks · 28/03/2018 19:03

62%

Thought I would have done better the amount of washes I do a week Grin

DorothyBastard · 28/03/2018 19:06

62% with a few guesses!

Aubasaurus · 28/03/2018 19:11

75% - a lot of it guesswork!

Clarabumps · 28/03/2018 19:33

75% scrubbing board and do not wash tripped me up. Gah!

Bluebell9 · 28/03/2018 19:46

87% for me!

Sierra259 · 28/03/2018 20:11

62% – oops. It was the symbols about do not wash/bleach that I didn't know! Blush

BellaVida · 28/03/2018 20:39

87% - got the washing machine history one wrong.

WhiteHartLane · 28/03/2018 20:53

75% -I got both symbol questions wrong

gruffalopuffalo · 28/03/2018 20:53

75% so 2 wrong - the symbol one (I thought it was dry clean but it said do not wash) and the date of the wash board one. Dates are tricky.

pollywiggle · 28/03/2018 21:50

75%.

IntelligentYetIndecisive · 28/03/2018 21:57

The empty circle means dry clean only not do not wash.

Got 5/8. 62.5%

Treaclespongeandcustard · 28/03/2018 22:10

75% and I was a little surprised, I thought I'd do better.

ImagineAllThePeople1 · 28/03/2018 22:16

62% - might have to step away from the washing machine.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/03/2018 22:30

87%

I got the same one wrong that Alibubbles did, and for the same reason.

However, in real life, despite my almost encyclopaedic knowledge of washing symbols, I usually just bung everything in together on 40 degrees . . .

I have to confess that this shows.

BexleyRae · 28/03/2018 22:37

50%! Terrible, I hoped I'd do better considering I do washing most days

TheClitterati · 29/03/2018 00:11

75% and I still don't know when scrub guards were first used.

totallyLosingIt · 29/03/2018 07:53

62% 😳
To be honest everything gets bunged in together in this house. White shirts, kids clothes, underwear 🤷🏼‍♀️ My only exceptions are new things really. And a separate wash for towels.

SherbertDip · 29/03/2018 07:59

I got 75% not too bad

GrumpyGoose · 29/03/2018 08:57

I'm impressed with myself if I'm honest.
