My children would love all the water fun, xbox games, basketball and indoor sky diving. Reading in the library and the escape room sound bliss for hubbie and I! Can' believe there is so much to do on board! x

thanksamillion · 27/09/2017 20:32

Waterside, whirlpools, slides. Generally anything involving water or slides. I can't help feeling it's a bit strange to be in water on a boat though!

juju3 · 27/09/2017 20:51

swimming - great fun and keeps you fit

marymanc · 27/09/2017 22:09

We would love swimming and learning to dance.

MonaChopsis · 27/09/2017 22:58

DD is a daredevil so would love anything called the Ultimate Abyss!! Watersports in general would be great for both of us, I'd love to try the surf simulator... Have always wanted to learn to surf!

CheeseEMouse · 27/09/2017 23:00

Ice skating - though i am intrigued if it's real ice or a plastic rink

OutComeTheWolves · 28/09/2017 05:56

I like to think I'd choose the indoor sky diving but if I had an hour or so spare to read on my own in the library, that would be bliss.

Probs the dreamworks experience for the kids.

WarmHugs · 28/09/2017 07:04

DD (8), DS (6) and DH (37) would all choose Circus Skills.

Which is great, as whilst they were clowning around, I'd be reading in the library!

rhinosuze · 28/09/2017 07:48

Definitely the ice rink, my 4 year old loves it! My husband and I would probably prefer the pool and cinema though
Seems like there is plenty on board for kids, didn't realise this was what cruises were like, always thought of them as something to do when retired

Maddaddam · 28/09/2017 10:54

My teen dc would like most of those. In particular:
Zip wire
Swimming
Whirlpool
Reading in library
Cinema.
Laser tag
Roller disco.
Mini golf.

FlukeSkyeRunner · 28/09/2017 16:49

Splashaway bay - the kids would love it.

ha2el · 28/09/2017 17:11

I would definitely be joining the 'learn to dance' classes and my husband would be taking part in the learn to surf sessions. The children would try everything, but particularly the rock wall climbing.

JellyBeanz77 · 28/09/2017 17:53

Hi,

Love the idea of a cruise - didn't realise there were so many on board activities!

I would choose Learn to Dance, Zip Wire and Circus School (it's never too late to learn!)

DP would probably do the Zip Wire, Surf Simulator and water slides.

Children (16 and 19) probably the same as DP... and all of the other active activities!

Looks like I'd going to Learn to Dance on my own!!!

Great to try new things whilst travelling to new places! Off to look at the Royal Caribbean website now! Thanks Mumsnet and RC.

flamingtoaster · 28/09/2017 17:58

Ice Rink would be the first activity - we live too far from the nearest ice rink for it to be a regular activity. The idea of skating every day is my idea of heaven!

We'd all love the cinema depending on the films available.

DH and I would love the FlowRider® Surf Simulator - as long as we could bodyboard rather than surf. DC might be persuaded.

Escape room would be very popular with all of us as we love challenges.

Swimming and zip lines would be great (though I wouldn't do the zip line). DD and I could really do with regular practice to improve our swimming. DH and DS swim really well.

I didn't realize so many activities were possible on ships.

snotato · 28/09/2017 18:31

All of it sounds thoroughly entertaining.

My 6yo Ds would love the circus school and the zip lines the most.

My 2yo dd would love the splashway bay as she loves swimming and water play.

My oh would love the ultimate abyss.he is the death slide demon.(Sounds too scary for me though)

I would love the roller disco.
The roller disco in my town shut down years ago,so I have never been to one.but they look so much fun.

fivekidsonemum · 28/09/2017 21:55

OMG get me & my 5 kids onboard now !! How amazing it would be to do them all.

I'd like to try - The Escape Room
My 9yr old son- The Tallest Slide
7yr old son- Circus School
6yr old son- Mini Golf
4yr old daughter- Splashaway Bay
2yr old son- Splashaway Bay

Crazy to think you could fit all those pools, zip wire, ice rink etc on a ship i'd never want to get off !! Grin

pfcpompeysarah · 28/09/2017 22:22

We went on an NCL cruise in 2014 and before setting sail we were moored behind a Royal Caribbean ship, it looked amazing, we could see the flowrider thing and a climbing wall. My son would love the cinema, the games room (particularly the xbox) and swimming is always a favourite with him, their pools look much bigger than the ones are our cruise, they were tiny tiny tiny!!

I can never get my head around how all this fits on a ship! For us, disco, swimming, dance classes Smile

TillyTheTiger · 29/09/2017 09:41

Me and DH: Spa - we need some relaxation
DS (15mo): Waterpark, he loves splashing about

maursieq · 29/09/2017 12:37

My dd being a skater would head straight for the ice rink

slbhill42 · 29/09/2017 12:50

What a selection! My boy would split his time between the dodgems and the library Grin
