New brake pads & then Christmas presents

Ikea1234 · 05/09/2017 16:29

Well, we already have Christmas sorted, as we budget and plan for it all year (most of our presents are already bought, believe it or not!) so it would have to be a little holiday next year! We want to return to a gorgeous park in The Netherlands and, amazingly, it costs this amount! It's such a beautiful place, and we had a great holiday with days out to Amsterdam, The Hague and the beautiful Katwijk beach. Dreamy! As its a voucher from a list, we would use our weekly Supermarket shopping money to pay for it, and use the £325 to do our weekly shop (which is around £50 a week,so you do the maths as to how many weeks that is paid for!)

InvisibleKittenAttack · 05/09/2017 16:36

Right now, it would go on winter coats for everyone (that's going to be depressingly expensive!).

Or a weekend away.

stefalfie11 · 05/09/2017 17:35

I would put it in the holiday fund for next year

AngelwingsPetlamb · 05/09/2017 17:38

I would spend the money on a mini moon with my beloved. A nice little city break with show tickets, dinner and cocktails and an over night stay.

SistersOfPercy · 05/09/2017 17:40

I would have a weekend away with my lovely DH for our wedding anniversary, probably at a comic con!

doleritedinosaur · 05/09/2017 17:44

I would use £200 to clear overdraft & £100 on credit card with £25 on a banquet meal for two at the local takeaway.

I really need to look at topcash back more.

sweetdiversion1 · 05/09/2017 17:45

Desperately need to get new wardrobe and chest of drawers for DD's bedroom. Her old ones are falling apart.

Royalsteph · 05/09/2017 17:46

£325 will go towards recarpeting our house after an unexpected full rewire.

Cupoteap · 05/09/2017 17:54

Buy myself some Christmas presents Grin

biffyboom · 05/09/2017 17:55

We'd put it towards a birthday party for our ds and a santa themed stay at gullivers world. Trying to do as much as possible for toddler ds, as dd has just been born and don't want him feeling pushed out.

IamNotDarling · 05/09/2017 18:01

I'd put it towards a new bike for my commute to work and then what I save in car park fees, put in a holiday saving fund.

Byrdie · 05/09/2017 18:04

£325... i might treat myself to a shopping trip. I really need some new underwear!! However, i can imagine I'd end up spending it on things for the kids. Possibly I'd put it towards a new ipad for my husband's b-day. Or if I had time, maybe a spa day with my mum?

wineandcheeseplease · 05/09/2017 18:04

I would buy Christmas presents without worrying

PinkSquash · 05/09/2017 18:04

I'd use it to pay off the debt I have with the council from when I classed as homeless and had arrears due to them moving me around and being off sick with stress last year. I have paid off the most part, but £325 would pay off the entire debt and leave me enough to get a food shop for a week without having to count the pennies.

EggysMom · 05/09/2017 18:13

£300 would go on furniture - either a new bed for our ever-growing son, or a two-seater sofa as he no longer fits alongside me in an armchair.

£25 would go on a couple of takeaways! We don't go out much as our son is autistic (finding carers is tricky), takeaways are our next best option Smile

flamingtoaster · 05/09/2017 18:15

I'd use it for Christmas - the food and presents.

SaltySeaBird · 05/09/2017 18:20

TopCashBack is great although we never make that much. Having the Chrome extension is a good reminder to use it.

Normally it gets added to our holiday spending / days out account. That is where our cash back gets paid into.

Specifically with an extra £325 I'd get a Nintendo Switch for the family to share at Christmas. Both DH and DC1 really want one (and I'd play it too) and we are still playing games on the console we brought 11 years ago!

Whoateallthecheese · 05/09/2017 18:20

Pay for a night away with my husband somewhere lovely, as we've not had a great year and some time together away from everything would be much appreciated!

sosoverytired · 05/09/2017 18:23

I would spend it on a weighted blanket for my 4 year old and a sock monitor in case she goes into anaphylactic shock in the night. As she has a range of health and behavioural issues.

Abominus · 05/09/2017 18:28

I would put it towards the Christmas shopping, an expensive time these days.

TealStar · 05/09/2017 18:28

Love TopCashBack!

I would put £325 towards a weekend in Reykjavik with dh and the dds. I'd love for them to see snow and the Northern Lights!

In reality though it would probably go on paying off last year's tax bill Grin

strawberrisc · 05/09/2017 18:29

As incredibly boring as this may sound, I've always wanted to save a little but there's never any disposable income at the end of the month. I would put it into savings.

lovewatchingrainfall · 05/09/2017 18:49

With £325 I would buy a tumble dryer and a freezer. My tumble dryer went to the scrap heap in January when we moved and with a baby and toddler it's needed. And now my freezer has died and no money for a new one.

MorvaanReed · 05/09/2017 18:55

Deposit for a decent car would be nice.
