I would spend it on Christmas presents xx

PickAChew · 05/09/2017 19:47

We're moving house and will have an extra reception room so it would go towards the fund for some extra lovely sitting room furniture that the kids aren't allowed to cover in crumbs and ink.

I'd give the £325 to my mum. She retired two years ago to help me look after my daughter. Since then, I've had another daughter. I had hyperemisis and without my mum a second pregnancy simply wouldn't have been possible.

Mum raised me as a single mother on a council estate. She worked 6 days a week and eventually bought her council house. We have just sold our house and will move in with her until we find our new house (me, DH, baby and toddler.)

Despite working for 50 years from the age of 15 to 65, my mum only receives a state pension. She gave up smoking this year and I'm so proud of her, and so grateful for all her help and support, I'd love to give something back.

I would buy a new camera to capture those precious memories

wonkylegs · 05/09/2017 20:17

It would go towards paying for someone to come and sort out our leaking shower rather than me repeatedly trying and failing to solve the problem and swearing an awful lot.
It would be bliss to be able to relax in a nice hot shower without worrying that I'm going to crash through the kitchen ceiling. I'm sick of silicon sealant and peering under floorboards trying to work out where the bastarding water is coming from!

Rachdayan · 05/09/2017 20:19

Definitely put it towards a city break to see somewhere new.

greathat · 05/09/2017 20:19

Weekend away! trying to decide whether it would be with or without kids...

I love topcashback by the way. Everyone should get on there - free money!

hmariez · 05/09/2017 20:26

Use it for Christmas 🎄 xx

Florida123 · 05/09/2017 20:32

Annual family membership (2 adults, 1 child) to London Zoo, the rest would be split between buying my parents a treat and a contribution towards the local food bank.

juju3 · 05/09/2017 20:36

Treat myself to more nursery days so I can get the backlog of jobs done and perhaps enjoy some me time

sarah861421 · 05/09/2017 20:36

My list is endless as I am in debt but if I had "free" money which did not have to go off a ccredit card then I would have a weekend in London or Oxford and visit my children at Uni

annarack99 · 05/09/2017 20:37

Put it towards a holiday...

Gazelda · 05/09/2017 20:38

Either national trust membership, or a course of yoga - my back desperately needs a bit of tlc!

Ttbb · 05/09/2017 20:38

DS is weirdly into golf. Would probably use it tthe hire out the putting green/buy tiny clubs.

EasterRobin · 05/09/2017 20:41

I've always wanted to go glamping. Surely £325 would be enough for a teepee / yurt and some (sadly luke warm) prosecco to drink in it.

elizaco · 05/09/2017 20:43

I'd book a few nights away in the October holidays :)

TarquinGyrfalcon · 05/09/2017 20:43

I'd buy plants and garden furniture.

CalmanOnSpeeddial · 05/09/2017 20:43

It was our 20th wedding anniversary recently but we still haven't booked the night away in a hotel that we promised ourselves. So I'd use it for that.

nettymay · 05/09/2017 20:48

I would use it for music lessons for our son

Earthmoon · 05/09/2017 20:49

A bunk bed with inbuilt storage for both beds

itsali · 05/09/2017 20:51

I think I'd use it towards laser eye surgery.

Shoom72 · 05/09/2017 20:51

It would pay for lots of days out for me and the family and I would try to use it for a special treat or day out monthly!!!

Tonkatol · 05/09/2017 21:00

I would use the money towards Christmas presents. I have 4 children and this would go a long way towards paying for their gifts. Failing that, I would use the vouchers to put towards the purchase new flooring for our lounge/diner as we are in the middle of decorating them and converting into one large room.

Thirdload · 05/09/2017 21:12

It would go on treating myself.

I spend so much time, energy and money on everyone else in the family so a win like this would be all for me! Seriously, I can't even make myself a slice of toast or sit down on a chair without having to share with a little person Grin

I would spend it on a spa day, beauty treats, some nice food and clothes. Guilt free!

OnMyShoulders · 05/09/2017 21:14

I'd buy clothes and footwear for the DC. With 5 of them, there's always someone needing something, but at the moment, it feels like everyone's needing everything!
