We’ve been asked by Pampers to find out about the biggest nappy change-time challenges that Mumsnetters face! To celebrate Baby-Dry Nappy Pants, Pampers want to hear about your little one’s changing-mat moves…take a read below and share a comment, photo or video of your LO’s signature change-time move to be in with a chance of winning a 6-month supply of Baby-Dry Nappy Pants and a £200 John Lewis voucher!

Here’s what Pampers has to say about Baby-Dry Nappy Pants:
"When your little one is between six and eight months old, you may well notice a change in their movements... what started as a little ninja twist has suddenly turned into a lightning-fast commando crawl across the carpet, a Houdini-esque baby roll, or a beautiful bottom-shuffle! You’ll know then that one thing’s certain; change time isn’t going to get any easier!"

"Nowadays pants aren’t just for potty training – in fact more and more parents are telling us they prefer a pants-style nappy for everyday use with younger babies, because they’re so easy to put on and change - unlike taped nappies, you can put them on with one pull. So, if you’re contending with a professional mover, or a groover, it’s time to make the change and leave the wriggle wrestle behind, with Pampers Baby-Dry Nappy Pants!"

"So, what makes Pampers Baby-Dry Nappy Pants so good for wriggly babies? They have an all-around 360 degree fit stretchy waistband and flexible leg cuffs, so they are easier to pull on even when your little one is moving around. They also feature a unique Extra Sleep-Layer, which quickly absorbs wetness for up to 12 hours of overnight dryness, and Micro Pearls™ which absorb up to 30 times their weight and lock wetness away. In fact, Pampers Baby-Dry Nappy Pants contain the same innovations & features that are in your favourite taped Pampers nappies – so your little one can enjoy all of the benefits of Pampers best dryness, comfort and fit in an easy to use pants style!"

"So, from the first wriggle, try Pampers Baby-Dry Nappy Pants – it’s as easy as one-two-three!

Step 1: Slip your baby’s legs in and pull the pants up and on.
Step 2: To change, don’t fear a wriggle-wrestle; just tear the sides.
Step 3: Roll the pants up, stick the tape in place and you’re all done!"

And, if you’ve already tried Pampers Baby-Dry Nappy Pants Pampers would be be very grateful if you could share your feedback here

If you’ve got an expert nappy-change disruptor in the house, Pampers want you to get involved by sharing a comment, picture or video of your little one’s signature change-time move! Are they a Kangaroo kicker, a giggler or an Octopus-esque grabber? How about a mischievous Monkey, slippery Snake or just a good old-fashioned wriggly Worm? Let us know below and everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a 6-month supply of Pampers Baby-Dry Nappy Pants and a £200 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

We currently use nappy pants on days out and bed time , my little monkey has deciided she liked to remove her pants herself , usually in the middle of the night !! so i wake her up to find a little bare bum mooning me!!!

I hated changing nappies - my son was a twister so even if you sat beside him and put your leg over his torso to stop him moving he could still twist his bottom half and make it impossible for you to get a nappy on or off.

The only thing that really worked was letting him scroll through all the photos and videos of him on my phone or pulling hideous faces pretending that his cheesy feet were making me sick. Ah, the dignity of being a parent.

My daughter is like a professional wrestler! She wraps her legs around my and tries to twist her way out.

My dd would wriggle and try and move down the floor whilst trying to change her nappy or try and flip her body. It was like she was trying to do baby gymnastics.
I would try giving her a toy in her ham to try and distract her so she wouldn't wriggle as much. It wasn't always successful!

I have had many wriggling moments and the inevitable messy moments too! but I think for me it is the laughter that causes the problem....no matter how stern I try to sound and how firm and calmly I speak I end up in a fit of giggles with the wiggles and we both laugh so much....which is great all the time there is no hurry! But totally my own fault!

A sharp kick of DD feet/heals onto the floor and she was off in a backwards direction... I partly blame myself as I like to blow raspberries onto her stomach :) and she squirms/laughs so much... oops, but you soon get the hang of one handed changing when time is of the essence!

My daughter would close and straighten her legs which made it terribly difficult to get a nappy on! It was so annoying!

I wish that pull ups were around when I had my eldest he could crawl and bum shuffle at such a speed to escape the nappy change it was like some Olympic event .....I deserved a GOLD!!!

I have a total of 0.1seconds to do my 8 month olds nappy, if not complete within that time, she's off

I was feeling pretty smug about my nappy changing technique for the last few months until Dd started biting my leg. I lay her sideways in front of me and put one leg across her torso. Now its not so easy. I think I'm going to get some pull ups for when we're out. She won't lie down on changing tables which makes putting the nappy on dofficult and I have to stop her vest flopping into the poo.

My son loves to shoot wee all over the place whilst throwing himself all over the floor to avoid putting nappies on him

Make sure they are wearing clothes that are easy for changing. My DD was always tripping over with her nappy up but leggings around her ankles!

Pull ups are brilliant and take all the stress out of the whole nappy change scenario. Also easier for grand parents or baby minders too imo. No more being wee'd on half way through and no more chasing or wrestling with a wriggler. I'm all for them

With a 17 month old wriggle bum, I will definitely be switching to these when his
Little brother is born in 2 weeks time! I can only imagine the carnage otherwise 😂. Things haven't been too bad up until the past month, but he now seems to think that the world is way too interesting to be pinned down on the chica img mat for anything linger than 15 seconds.

Their little buggers when they learn new tricks! It turns the most simple of tasks into a drawn out game. Changing nappies being one of them.

My daughter Poppy is almost two and a menace at changing time. She's just realised she can thrust her hips up and down while I try to put the nappy on >.< Needless to say I'm trying to potty train her quickly!

I was going to buy these for DD2, but in the supermarket they only have sizes 4 upwards.
DD2 has been rolling since 15weeks, crawling since 6 month and is a master ninja now at 7.5m.... but! She's only 15lb and in size 3 nappies!
It's particularly nightmarish when she's done a poo and rolls and squirms to get away before I've cleaned her properly ShockConfused

Haha this is my DD she is ten months old and when she wants to go somewhere she can move really fast! I lay her on the floor to change, she'll twist around onto her side and if your not quick enough she's up and crawling away flat out! Giggling the whole time lol, but we've turned it into a game. She loves it when you grab her feet and pull her back across the mat, it tickles her tummy and she loves the chase Grin

"my bottom is freeeeeeeeee" seems to come into her mind when she has her nappy off. its back to natural state.dont we all dream to be able to wander around naked? well this is her time to run around and show it.

tips be firm.you wont hurt her(within reason of course) grab those feet. I found it was about perfecting the grabbing both feet in one hand move.
if they wriggle make a really loud "oooo look" high pitched.get her attention back to you and instantly forgets her move for freedom.
keep moving.dont stop to think "oh hell shes gonna get free from me "just keep moving.
