It's easy to be a bit of a grinch in the run-up to Christmas when you've spent what feels like months shopping, cleaning and preparing for it. The good thing is that kids have a way of reminding us what it's really all about, and Cadbury would like to know about the little ways your children have made you recognise the joy that comes with the Christmas season.

From excited visits to meet Father Christmas, to interesting homemade tree decorations and their boundless energy on the big day itself, Cadbury would like to hear how your kids have made you full of joy at Christmas time.

All those who share the ways their children remind them of the joy in the festive season in a post below will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

my daughter saw santa for the first time last week.. she walked into the room (shes 20m) and cried out 'HELLO SANTA' in the saddest, wavering little voice ever, then burst into tears. So I cuddled her (not forcing her to see him) but she was so desperate to see him, but so overwhelmed! The sweetest girl ever. Of course afterwards she wanted to go back and see him again! I suppose all the Christmas idealisms must be sooo overwhelming for little ones, we forget that.

My DD, 3, who said to me, "Can we give some of my old teddies to the hostable, so that the poorly children can have a teddy to smell when they are sad", that bought a lump to my throat, and such a feeling of joy! :)

the excitement of putting up the decorations and the anticipation of opening the advent calendar each morning, all precious times.

There's no Grinches in our house,
It's Christmas all the way,
Starting around September,
Counting down each day,
Desperate for advent calendars,
Cadbury's - of course,
Singing Christmas carols till we all feel rather hoarse!
Santa's sign goes up outside,
'Please stop here,'
Never a dull moment,
We're full of Christmas cheer,
All the lights and decs go up,
Soon as November's done,
Then letter to Santa are written,
With heavy hints to Mum,
New PJ's for all on Christmas Eve,
Soon everyone's tucked up asleep,
Santa's snaffled his treats and left so many gifts,
That opening them up is some feat,
Remembering to be super grateful,
Making a list of Thank You's,
Not knowing which toy to revel in first,
It really is so hard to choose,
It's the caring and sharing at Christmas,
That make Christmas what it's all about,
However this said,
There's discussions ahead,
When the big tin of chocolates comes out!!
