It's easy to be a bit of a grinch in the run-up to Christmas when you've spent what feels like months shopping, cleaning and preparing for it. The good thing is that kids have a way of reminding us what it's really all about, and Cadbury would like to know about the little ways your children have made you recognise the joy that comes with the Christmas season.

From excited visits to meet Father Christmas, to interesting homemade tree decorations and their boundless energy on the big day itself, Cadbury would like to hear how your kids have made you full of joy at Christmas time.

All those who share the ways their children remind them of the joy in the festive season in a post below will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

My daughter's excitement for Christmas has really rejuvenated my own sense of joy and excitement at this time of year. I've had a couple of bad Christmases these past few years (marriage breaking up, and being told bad news) which had started to make me dread Christmas and all the memories coming back. My five year old daughter has made me reconnect with the real values of Christmas - spending time with the ones we love, focusing on the small things that give us joy, and how we must move past feelings of regret and look to the future.

I love the way that they get so excited by seeing Santa in the street or store!

It's all the little things.. the sheer joy at opening a door on the advent calendar, the bright eyes and smiles at Christmas lights. Kids can teach us all about appreciating life's simple pleasures, especially at Christmas.

My youngest was due on 23rd December and born on 30th. This time of year I always remember trying desperately to avoid giving birth on Christmas Day as I didn't want him to have to share his special day with anyone else. Then when he did come along, we made it home for New Year's Eve. As the clocks struck midnight and the fireworks started he was wide awake and I lay next to him, just gazing at him. It was perfect and I always remember that joy at this time of year.

The way they seem to tolerate each other more - getting excited together, settling down to watch a Christmas movie, writing cards to each other. It's lovely :).

it really is the simple things that bring so much joy with children! want to know what was on the top on DS Christmas list last year... Blue Tack! He loves this stuff, the hours he spent playing with it - making little people and animals melted my heart!

The simple things like our visit to see santa in his grotto, making christmas crafts & lots of family film days (the perfect time to eat more chocolate) on the run up to Christmas have made me feel very festive,i have 4 kids and i have found about twenty different christmas lists which always make me smile especially some of the things the kids ask for an exlusive branch??? & a new thing for mums hoover where just two of them.

We have a cheeky elf who comes to visit...I can get a bit fed up of thinking of new things for him to do but that little whisper as I;m tucking them in "What do you think Mr Stripey Hat will be doing in the morning?" is enough to make it all worthwhile :D

I love to see my little princess's face when she is putting the Cadbury's Christmas chocs on the tree and Daddy is around the other side of the tree eating them. LOL
Merry Christmas and good luck to you all.
