The team at Pedigree know that dogs have loads of very special talents so they'd love to hear what sort of job your dog would be best at, and what skills, experience and "qualifications" your pooch has for this job! For example, they might be a great counsellor because they are an excellent listener or maybe they would be a great personal trainer because they’re a great motivator when it comes to taking a walk.

Feel free to include your doggy photos to support their job applications.

Please share your dog's CV highlights and key skills on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Pedigree® have worked with the Waltham® Centre for Pet Nutrition to build some simple and clear information on how to care for your dog – from information on diet and dental care, to tips and tricks for training. Find out more here

Thanks and good luck

Name: Bandit
Age: 7

Current position: Security Manager
In my current role I am responsible for security, monitoring all comings and goings from the property. The position entails barking loudly when somebody approaches the perimeter, increasing to a frenzied yap should they enter the house. Skills required include loud bark and excellent hearing.

Previous position: Guardian of the biscuit barrel
In this role I was responsible for being alert to any opening of said biscuit barrel. I was made redundant from this position due to my owner going on a prolonged (and I have to say ineffective) diet.

Hobbies include walking and collecting balls.

This is my cockapoo. I got her just before I was diagnosed with cancer - and it was perfect timing. On my good days we played and trained. On my bad days we cuddled and she let me sob into her fur. She is my shadow and my sidekick. As a result she understands the words 'cuddle' (she will put her paws around your neck) and 'kiss' (she will offer her nose to you to kiss. She is hugely affectionate and is very sensitive to knowing when someone needs some extra love.

Apart from that she is very adept at knowing when the fridge door has been opened no matter how quietly you try to do it, offering one of her special cuddles to the person in the room who is the least receptive, hiding socks, and being an absolute loony.

Security Officer Max

I like to keep my world safe, that includes barking at squirrels and postmen.

I have been gainfully employed since puppyhood and I take my job responsibilities very seriously.

I have worked in the UK but my original point of origin was Siberia, I think.

I expect to be paid in kibble and biscuits and to be provided with fresh water, a extra large cushion, and three long walks a day. These are not negotiable.

References and pedigree are available upon request.
