To celebrate the launch of DisneyLife, the new digital membership service from Disney, they'd love to hear about your favourite Disney films from your childhood and whether you've shared this film with your DCs.

Here's what DisneyLife says "We're so excited to launch DisneyLife, which gives the whole family access to a fantastic collection of Disney and DisneyPixar movies, Disney Channels TV box sets, books, music and more, in one place. DisneyLife will help create magical moments for the whole family to share, so we're keen to hear about your favourite Disney film from childhood and if you've shared a magical moment with your children by watching this together."

So, what was your favourite Disney film when you were a child? Maybe The Jungle Book was your favourite and you would always sing along to the Bare Necessities? Or perhaps you loved Peter Pan and wished you could fly around Neverland? Maybe you watched Pocahontas repeatedly and wanted to learn to paint with all the colours of the wind? Have you shared your favourite Disney film with your DCs?

Whatever your favourite Disney film was, DisneyLife would love to hear about it!

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered in to a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Check out our bloggers review of DisneyLife in the new video:

Thanks & good luck,

I grew up in ex-Soviet Union, and Disney wasn't a big part of my childhood. I've probably seen just a few animation/films in the cinema like Bambi, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book. Loved Mary Poppins, as it was also one of my favourite books.
My kids have quite a collection of Disney DVDs which they enjoy a lot

jwjuliejulie · 29/12/2015 17:25

Bambi - it was the first film that I saw at the cinema and has remained a firm favorite :-)

jandoc · 29/12/2015 18:54

I can't remember having a favourite film

kristianjsnooks · 29/12/2015 19:32

Bambi - Still love it!

Hunchback of notre dame, saw it in the cinema when I was about 4, still my favourite as an adult. Love the darker theme and music.

Anderson8 · 29/12/2015 22:25

The little mermaid
I remember queueing outside the cinema with my granny

marymanc · 29/12/2015 22:45

I remember watching Cinderella at the cinema when I was very little. However in my family we used to love the Jungle Book and watch it regularly. We all laughed every time at Balu...

princesssmitheee · 30/12/2015 01:13

I didn't see many Disney films as a kid (in the days before videos and DVDs, ha ha) but I do remember being taken to the pictures to see Bedknobs and Broomsticks and thinking it was amazing, combining real people and cartoon characters! I still enjoy watching that to this day. Other than that, I don't think I saw many Disney movies until my nephew was born in the late 80s and I watched them with him!

nikloustew · 30/12/2015 09:09

Our favourite was Lady and the Tramp, I remember getting the video for Christmas one year!

adamcorner · 30/12/2015 09:14

My favourite was Beauty and the Beast and I can confidently say the same was true for my brother and sister too!(we're all in our late 20s now!)

mjmo0oseface · 30/12/2015 09:52

OMG. How do you even pick a favourite?!??!

I was basically raised on Disney films.I love soo many of them for different reasons. We always bought the Disney CDs to sing along to our favourite songs, too! Ahhh... the memories! My sister had all the dalmation puppy teddies. My brother had a simba and nala whose noses magnetically touched! I had Ariel. My sisters and I used to do the Ahh ahhh ahh ah ah ahhh that Ariel does and see who could hold the note at the end for the longest! :') My Dad building a huge den in the living room and chocolate spread on toast on rainy afternoons and watching The Lion King. Watching Disney films together as a family on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings...

I'll give you my top 10.

The Lion King
Mulan
Bambi
Cinderella
Beauty and the Beast
Toy Story
The Jungle Book
Tarzan
Snow White
101 Dalmations
The Little Mermaid

Okay, that's 11!

I think I just love the magic of the films and the happy feelings they evoke. I love the songs and the characters were so real to me in my young mind!

Husband is so NOT a Disney fan. So I mainly have to watch them on my own. But I don't mind, really! Then I can sing along without bothering anyone! ;) DS' only likes the shows he knows and likes (Bubble Guppies, Ben and Holly's Little Kingdon and Peppa Pig). I tried him with Toy Story the other day when it was on TV but he just wasn't bothered. He does have ASD and a short attention span when it comes to watching things so I might have to wait a while longer to enjoy watching Disney films together!

Mary Poppins. It was the wonderful escape that I needed. I loved watching Saving Mr Banks too a few years ago.

notamum3210 · 30/12/2015 12:15

It's a toss up between Pocohontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Both deal with incredibly challenging issues that most children's films wouldn't touch today- colonialism and genocide, imprisonment and emotional abuse? No thanks!
The music is beautiful and the heroes real and quite atypical.

Looking back on it, The Hunchback of Notre Dame has to take it- Esmerelda was my favourite Disney princess growing up- probably because she isn't a princess and doesn't try to be. I'm so pleased that Disney could have made Quasimodo get the girl but didn't - instead he was happy to see her with man she loved. I feel the Hunchback of Notre Dame was special because it did not infantilise its viewers. Also: cracking soundtrack. I feel like I have to go and watch it now!

funkyfish586 · 30/12/2015 16:09

I used to LOVE beauty and the beast & all the talking clocks & cups :)

I remember it being so magical & amazing.

Oldbiddywilkins · 30/12/2015 18:27

My favourite Disney movie was Bambi. I watched it with my sons when they were little but they have their own favourites which are different to mine.

clarem100 · 30/12/2015 19:15

I loved the Jungle Book. Love the story it tells and the characters

itsmeexxx · 30/12/2015 20:49

Bambi was my favourite and as my mum went onto have more children ,I got to watch it again and again for years lol

MERLYPUSSEDOFF · 30/12/2015 22:06

The Jungle Book is my all time favorite. Such fluidity of movement in the days before CGI. Brilliant songs too. I buy my sons 2 DVDs each year (2 each for xmas, 2 for b'day) and we are currently 'doing' lion king and Hercules.

They also love Aladdin and Robin Hood but I can't be swayed from Jungle Book. (Helps that I am a Bagheera in Cubs too and Bagheera is so cool in the film)

buckley1983 · 30/12/2015 22:39

I absolutely loved 'The Sword in the Stone' & still do! I remember watching it for the first time one Christmas when I was about 8 & really enjoying it. I recorded it from the TV & used to watch it at any time when the TV was fere & my brother was not comandeering the remote! I have tried (in vain!) to get my little boy into it, but I don't think it compares well to modern animation by his standards, I still think it's great! Love the songs, the sentiment, the characters - perfect! One of Disney's most underrated in my opinion!

ProfessorPickles · 31/12/2015 09:03

My favourite was always The Lion King, and I watched it with my son for the first time on Christmas Day!
Great characters, especially Timone and Pumba. Plenty of funny moments and good songs! I went to see it at the Lyceum Theatre in London too which was a great experience
