With Christmas on it’s way, Homebase have launched a quiz on Mumsnet and would like you to have a go and let us know what you think of the result!

Please take a few minutes to do the quiz and find out what kind of Christmas host you are and return to this thread to let us know your result. Are you a last-minute shopper or an all year-round planner? Find out with our festive bit of froth.

Everyone who posts about their quiz results on this thread will be entered in to a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Homebase voucher.

Thanks & good luck,
MNHQ

Last minute pull it together

Which is a bit odd as I plan plan plan, make lists galore, order food in advance and buy gifts through the the year.

Oh well!

Military operator, well everything has to be planned out.

lorilizy · 14/12/2015 05:36

I'm a Last minute pull-it-together - yep that sounds about right to me

compy99 · 14/12/2015 06:48

Consummate delegator, strange as I am a control freak who hates delegating! Lol

merlymerly · 14/12/2015 08:13

I got First-time thrower!

Last minute pull-it-together

BreconBeBuggered · 14/12/2015 13:02

I'm another delegator, aka entitled dosser who expects everyone else to do/bring everything. It's true that I'm theoretically in charge, but the only contribution I'll get in real life is the washing up on Christmas Day.

Wasn't keen on the available answers. I'd say about 80% had to be answered randomly as Not Even Close wasn't available.

cookie09 · 14/12/2015 17:34

Consummate delegator, yes sounds about right to me!

DeloresDeSyn · 14/12/2015 18:35

First time thrower.

Not really sure how on earth those questions could define anything though!

Purplehonesty · 14/12/2015 19:35

I'm a military operator apparently because I make my own mince pies.....

DancingDinosaur · 14/12/2015 19:48

Last minute pull it together. Sounds about right.

laurac1987 · 14/12/2015 19:54

MsColouring · 14/12/2015 20:08

First time thrower ....

pennwood · 14/12/2015 21:39

Military operator which is quite true I feel

wobblywindows · 14/12/2015 22:29

I'm a Military operator too - tree & decorations will go up this week as soon as I've posted the last Christmas card. I have to plan on account of a very slim budget. Your Traditional (hanging) Santa was to be my one tree treat this year -I am heartily disappointed to find they are all gone. 17.5cm high.

galaxygirl1 · 15/12/2015 01:34

Ended up with 'Last minute pull-it-together'. Not entirely true but hay-ho:-(

nettie1xoxo · 15/12/2015 06:25

First-time thrower apparently - but no I keep things special but simple xx

favorito · 15/12/2015 09:02

haha it says I'm the Consummate delegator! Not at all, I always do everything myself.

rachelmi · 15/12/2015 16:02

paulaburnside114 · 15/12/2015 21:15

Military planner - Sounds like me. I have always got about 10 different lists on the go. I start planning Christmas in September.

FadedRed · 15/12/2015 21:43

Military planner- hI don't think so. Just done it so often and no longer get stressed about everything being perfect. Grin

Quills · 16/12/2015 11:56

Er...the 'steps too far' question...I may just possibly have all of those. Mumsnet faux pas, perhaps, but I am unashamedly festive! No wonder I got Military operator.

buckley1983 · 16/12/2015 23:01

Military Operator.. Toot! Toot! That's the sound of me blowing my own trumpet :D Spot on though, I am often to be found trawling the January sales for stocking fillers for next year & bargain napkins, tablecloths, crackers & table dressings to put on a good show when the rellies are round at mine! LOVE Christmas!! x
