McCain has asked us to find out what Mumsnetters’ favourite family teatime meal is.

Here’s what they say, “5th October sees the launch of the Nation’s Teatimes campaign by McCain, which sees the brand turn real families into teatime TV stars. McCain is asking real families from across the UK to share real life video clips of themselves enjoying their tea on their dedicated hub www.mccainteatime.co.uk. From Monday to Thursday, the family videos from across the country will be edited against the clock into a McCain ’Teatime Today' advert and aired on ITV later that same evening at 8.45pm during a teatime ad-break.”

Whether you eat tea around the table or tucked up on the sofa, from the hectic to the calm, to over in a flash, no matter what teatime is like in your house there is always good stuff happening and it's where some great family moments take place.

So, what’s your favourite family teatime meal? Maybe you love your family pizza evenings when everyone helps to add their own toppings? Do you have a great beef casserole that everyone enjoys? Or is just beans on toast that the family love?! Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it!

Our favourite is a roast chicken dinner it's one of the only meals that everyone likes.

we love spaghetti bolognaise with added bacon :)

It used to be 'Beano Nosh-Up Bangers and Mash'. I used to make the mash in a big mound and stick the sausages in - like in the Beano. A table-ful of DS's friends loved it, and they would help themselves from the big mound.

Now we are older and a little more sophisticated we love a fish pie, smoked haddock, white fish, salmon, maybe prawns, parsley sauce (with nutmeg and white wine if there is a bottle open), mash, and with peas or cavalo nero.

Or in summer sitting round outside with the BBQ or logs on the firepit and cook what each person fancies, relaxing.

Bang bang chicken (chicken flattened with a rolling pin and then griddled) - plain for the kids, hot buffalo sauce for ma and pa! Served with salad and (mmmm) chips!

We love a nice jacket spud with cheese and salad

We love a baked potato with beans, cheese & salad or Pizza McCains Home fries, chips and salad. I have quite a few children and they all have different faves, but these usually keep everyone happy!

A tasty pasta bake, am all-in-dish that I can throw random veg from the fridge into to use it up!

We all love lasagne either with chips or with garlic bread and salad mmmmm my tummy is rumbling now!

Sausage beans and chips for us.

Homemade pizza with with green olives, garlic and various cheeses and other toppings depending on what we have at home. Another favourite would be roast beef with everything to go with it and not only on special occasions. Yum :-)

Mine is pizza with salad, because it is the one meal everyone will eat happily with no complaining! It is so much more relaxing!

We love a good traditional bowl of macaroni cheese!

Our 3 kinds always ask for toad in the Hole, mashed potatoes and veg with onion gravy for Christmas Eve dinner. Other than that it's home made meatballs with home made pasta - they've been making it ( with me) since they were tots.

Absolute favourite when the weather gets cold is jacket potatoes with cheese and bacon, the ultimate in comfort food.

Potato wedges, homemade fish goujons and baked beans - a definite crowd pleaser! :)

We do love our pizza making sessions but our absolute favourite family meal has to be Sunday roast. We eat, clean our plates then it's the afternoon on the sofa watching films. Love Sundays with my family!

chicken curry or chicken korma is a all time favourite in our house!

We love Cottage pie with lots of Veg!

Lasagne with salad in summer and accompanied by oven chips in winter.
