To celebrate the launch of the new Vodafone family price plan (Red+) and that this Christmas you can also enjoy a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies with Red 4G Vodafone want to know what your fail safe film is for travelling with children!

Vodafone say "We all know those long journeys with children, especially at christmas time when they are even more excited, can feel a bit endless. These days, technology makes this a bit easier! With a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies Pass from Vodafone, you can select a film to help pass the time for children".

Vodafone has also launched a new plan, designed specifically for families. Red+ gives you one data allowance to share and you can even cap your kids’ data so they don't go over their limit. You'll get one simple bill for all devices, saving you money compared to individual plans, and you'll also get unlimited calls and texts.

The Vodafone Digital Parenting Guide can be found here: www.vodafone.co.uk/family

So whether your children climb over seats to catch yet another screening of Frozen, or have a secret sob to Toy Story 3, please share the film you can be quietly confident will give you some peace on the journey and keep the kids occupied.

Add your comment to this thread and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £250 Hamleys voucher (can be used online and in the stores)

Please note your comments may be used by Vodafone or MN on Vodafone pages, social media or possibly elsewhere - please only add a comment if you're happy for it to be used.

Thanks and good luck

Ice Age, all parts. They love them and I have a secret liking for them, too, especially Ice Age 2.

sadiewoohoo · 18/11/2014 09:54

Santa Claus the Movie

sofieellis · 18/11/2014 11:12

They don't watch movies while driving, we play and sing until they sleep instead. favourite Christmas movies are the Home Alone series.

BellaVida · 18/11/2014 12:00

Polar Express!

A beautiful film which actually quite lovely music which I can actually bear blaring out in the back of the car whilst driving.....and no annoying "Let it gooooooooo, let it gooooooo" from my 4 darling virtuosos!!

HannahLI · 18/11/2014 13:35

Planes is my current fail safe as both my boys love it and it always catches both boys attention. We don't watch it inside the house anymore just on long journeys so I think the build up to seeing it again helps too.

Ludways · 18/11/2014 14:15

Elf, I hate it so they love it, of course!

Candyperfumegirl · 18/11/2014 14:22

Watching their favourite film FROZEN in the car

guessing games

maz3509 · 18/11/2014 19:26

they love the polar express

milliemoon · 18/11/2014 20:21

Elf always keeps my son entertained and happy!

Maiyakat · 18/11/2014 20:33

Don't have a video in the car, if we did it would be a series of short programmes as DD would get bored with a film (unless they ever make Peppa Pig the movie!)

vintagesewingmachine · 18/11/2014 21:33

DVD players in the car are a total lifesaver for long (3-4 hr) journeys to in-laws. At this time of year my DC's love Polar Express, Muppets' Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, The Box of Delights, Annabelle's Wish and The Last Polar Bears. Actually, they would watch all of these all year round but I try to keep them for this time of year although I love them all too and would happily watch them in JulySmile

jandoc · 18/11/2014 21:39

sing songs

graceyyxx · 18/11/2014 21:58

we all love elf!

NorbertDentressangle · 18/11/2014 21:59

Elf is the top Christmas film here without a doubt. We watch it every year!

lottietiger · 18/11/2014 22:11

We wouldn't be watching a film in the car as it's time for family to do stuff together, look for diggers for instance. I do take my tablet on the aeroplane though so if I was flying at Christmas then DS would love to watch the muppet movie. We also love the Goonies :)

melmoo · 18/11/2014 22:21

We seem to have stopped film watching in the car, partially becuase we could never get agreement on the film. Hoodwinked would meet with generally approval though and while not totally christmassy it is at least toy based.

sweir1 · 18/11/2014 22:44

It has to be elf. They love it and so do I.

selloveday · 18/11/2014 23:12

Home Alone as the slap stick comedy has them in giggling fits.

SoonToBeSix · 18/11/2014 23:39

Definitely frozen, all my dc ( that are old enough to watch films) from by two year old ds to my 16 year old dd love it.

goingloombandcrazy · 19/11/2014 05:13

We don't do movies in the car. If we did it would be something related to star wars, Pokémon or lego. Both kids like that

1ivewire · 19/11/2014 08:55

It has to be Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas movie

sootyo · 19/11/2014 09:54

Any Disney / Pixar film usually does the trick

Stinkystinkypoopoohead · 19/11/2014 12:32

Now that the girls are teenagers anything with good looking boys seems to be the order of the day - The Hunger Games and Fault In Our Stars seem to be the particular favourites

PingPongBat · 19/11/2014 12:57

Despicable Me, every time.

Lost count of the number of times we've watched it, and a lot of the phrases have become part of our family language - "Light Bulb", "Curse You Tiny Toilet!", "Does this count as annoying?", & of course the "Unicorns I Love Them" song. Cant' wait for the Minions movie to come out!

pnutter · 19/11/2014 13:18

The Christmas Carol !! Original / at a push the Jim Carrey or Muppet version ..so Christmassy and a bit of spookiness ..keeps them quiet
