Netflix would like to know how you’ll be spending your time now that the kids are back at school. Maybe you’ll be finishing that blog post you started writing two months ago. Or perhaps you’ll be finally making use of your neglected gym membership. Or you might want treat yourself to a precious moment relaxing with your feet up, a cup of tea and your favourite Netflix show.

Netflix is available anywhere where there’s a Wi-Fi connection, and can be watched on numerous devices, including mobiles, tablets, smart TVs and games consoles. With a huge selection of quality films and award-winning TV shows, including access to Netflix’s exclusive original programmes, there’s always something new to discover.

You can see how other mums are using Netflix by visiting the Netflix Bloggers page here.

So, how will you be using Netflix now that you have a bit more time to yourself? Do you work part-time and savour your afternoons relaxing after a hectic morning by indulging in an episode of Suits? Are you grabbing an hour to yourself catching up on Orange is the New Black on your iPad while luxuriating in the bathtub? Once the kids are safely tucked up in bed, are you and your DH enjoying binge-watching the final season of The Killing on your smart TV? Whatever it is, Netflix would love to hear about it!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

I love Netflix, wish I had it whilst I was pregant with my last baby, would have made those last couple of weeks pass so much quicker.
I tend to binge watch series, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Orange is the new black, Survivors, Dead like me, Prison Break, Heros, Bates Motel, American Horror Story, Chuck, Sherlock..... to name but a few.

I probably have a bit of an addiction, but when the little one is tucked up asleep and there's nothing but tripe on the normal telly, its perfect!

Treating myself to some me time, with a hot chocolate, some cookies and some favourite films from the 80's and 90's!

I have watched two series of Orphan Black and am currently working my way through "The Killing". I plan to watch most evenings.

I am so behind. Hoping to start watching 'Orange is the New Black' and also 'Breaking Bad'. Finding the time is so hard. Should be working now!

I am so looking forward to cozy nights in, snuggled on the sofa with the DDs watching movies or Gossip Girl on Netflix. I know I should be sad summer is over for this year but I love the dark nights (as long as the heating is on).

I'll be finishing off the amazing series 'house of cards' with a hot chocolate, a biccy and my feet up on the sofa Smile

I'm working, cleaning, and ferrying the children around to all their activities - the school holidays are so relaxing compared to this .... But DD1 and I are, having done all 7 series of Buffy, now starting on Angel, which seems perfect for chilly Autumnal evenings.

Netflix itself has some appeal to me, but watching films/tv shows on my computer or phone doesn't have any appeal at all.

My TV is too old for Apple TV etc, so I guess I'll not have Netflix for some time now.

I shall be using it to amuse the small one still at home while I try to get some work done (or possibly even tidy up.. but that's unlikely). He's not even 1, but due to his older brother's influence he can already flick back and forth on the ipad to start rolie polie ollie (a huge favourite here - they both sing and jig along to the theme tune).

Once he's happy, I can sneak off to the kitchen and watch The Mighty Johnsons on the laptop while I fill the dishwasher or sit at the kitchen table working.

BeCool - do you have HDMI on your TV? If you do, Chromecast and Netflix work brilliantly together. I choose the episode on my phone, but tell it to play on the TV (or more likely DS1 kidnaps my phone and does it)

Currently working our way through The Tudors and Warehouse 13, having finished the second season of Hemlock Grove. Ironically now that school has started again, we have less time to watch Netflix, as our commutes take so much longer.

BeCool · 05/09/2014 10:33

thanks ChunkyPickle - that's the problem - I have no HDMI connector. And it is a lovely TV in all other respects.

I will endeavor to read more :)

If Netflix ever started showing Project Runway I might be tempted to put more effort into sorting it out.

I am just away to sign up to Netflix after being convinced on here. DC3 has just started playgroup which means I now have 3hrs childfree time a day -can't wait to start getting stuck into some of the box sets.

My husband and I can never find anything we want to watch on TV so looking forward to having movie nights once kids in bed.

Now ds is back at school, I'll be working. Just like in the school holidays.

We don't have Netflix, but I do download catchup TV to watch on trains/planes/hotel rooms when travelling for work

My day times are jammed full with either work or looking after DS7 and DD2. When I find a good series to watch I find that I really look forward to my evenings of uninterrupted binge netflixing!

Netflix is great t catching up on some box sets. Wish they'd sort out the Wii connection issue (as voiced on many forums regarding Wii and Netflix)
Wish they had more buying power for more recent movies.
However, my experience (laptop only) is that it's okay. I do my ironing watching rom coms.

Would be a better experience if they sorted Wii issues.

I will be working (more) when the kids are both at school. No time for netflix in the day! I might consider signing up if game of thrones is on there - i'm a bit behind and have only got half way through the books Smile

i recently consumed the whole of the L word over a few weeks of late nights in bed and early mornings before my son is up or i have to start working.

i'm a bit stuck for anything to watch at the minute - all of the suggestions they give me are things i watched ages ago. i need to have a good dig for new things.
