We all sometimes wish we had some extra time in the day, and we've been asked by Cif to find out what Mumsnetters would do with a spare 20 minutes.

Here's what Cif have to say, "Our latest cleaning product - Cif Express Direct to Floor can be used direct on the floor and small surfaces for a sparkling clean home. It leaves a long lasting and fresh fragrance. It's suitable for tiled, laminate and washable/ varnished wood floors. To use, you simply squirt the product directly onto the floor, then wipe with a damp mop, there's no need to rinse and it dries really fast! Now available in Antibacterial, Lemon & Apple Flowers and Wild Orchid & Velvet flowers, the RRP is £2.00 for 750 ml."

Check out the MNers review video here (and check out their feedback here):

Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner saves you time, so Cif would love to know what you would you do with a spare 20 mins each week.

How would you spend those extra 20 minutes? Maybe you'd have a lie in? Or watch an extra episode of your favourite sitcom? Perhaps you'd read a chapter or two of a new book?

Whatever you would do with your spare 20 minutes, Cif would love to hear about it.

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £250 voucher for the store of their choice*.

Please note comments on this thread might be used by Cif on their website or on their social media channels: please only add a comment if you're happy for your comment to be used.

Thanks and good luck,

Sit in peace and quiet, which is generally lacking with dd who is 3, with a cup of tea and read a book without distractions.

Pinter · 13/06/2014 07:35

Sleeeeeeeep Shock

JuniperTisane · 13/06/2014 07:37

I have no time to sit and read a book because my children are 3 and 1, Ragwort you give me hope that I will get some time to myself one day.

I do find time for real coffee most days though. making a small cafetiere, letting it brew and pouring it to drink straight away actually takes no more time than instant really, just a bit faffier. I decided life is too short for shit coffee Smile

With a spare 20 minutes today I would plant up some containers to make my patio look less like a childrens play centre. Or, at least, an upmarket childrens play centre...

halfdrunktea · 13/06/2014 08:57

Drink a cup of tea and read a book.

Pinter · 13/06/2014 09:23

Yoga maybe...

morningsarepants · 13/06/2014 09:50

I would play the piano, uninterrupted and without DD and DS trying to "help" Grin

WarmHugs · 13/06/2014 10:51

I would park myself on a bench in the city centre, and people watch. I LOVE people watching.

gildedlily · 13/06/2014 11:14

Erm, either sit in the garden with a coffee and a magazine or tackle an item on my medium term to do list - maybe gut the wardrobe in the spare room? No? OK I'll have thatBrew instead

saintlyjimjams · 13/06/2014 11:17

Cup of tea and magazine or book

Babycarmen · 13/06/2014 11:43

Go to Starbucks and sit and have a hot coffee by myself. Heaven!

BornToFolk · 13/06/2014 11:44

Honestly, I'd probably spend it doing housework, as that's usually what I end up doing if I get some "bonus" time to myself. However, if it was truly free time, and there were no chores to be done, I would multi-task by watching 1/3 of an episode of Buffy, MNing and knitting. With a cup of tea.

serendipity1980 · 13/06/2014 13:31

With a spare 20 minutes every day I would love to start sorting through the 500+ photos I ordered about three years ago and still haven't got round to putting in albums! I'm dreading that task but am really lacking the time to do it. 20 minutes a day would be little manageable steps!

MiniatureRailway · 13/06/2014 13:35

Work out. I'd have no excuse then really. Grin

colette · 13/06/2014 13:39

Optimistically -Jillian Michaels 20 mins shred. Realistically- cup of tea and a book .

HappydaysArehere · 13/06/2014 13:50

Look at something near bye. Don't be fussy. Take paper and pen or pencil and draw it. It is totally absorbing and relaxing. It uses the other side of your brain from the verbal and demanding.

PastaandCheese · 13/06/2014 14:10

I'd like to lay on top of my duvet with the sun coming in the window and watch the breeze move the trees outside and enjoy the peace without children jumping on me.

tinypumpkin · 13/06/2014 14:12

Sit in the conservatory with a cup of coffee, uninterrupted.

BeCool · 13/06/2014 14:27

If it was a day like today (hot & sunny) I'd like 20 minutes to enjoy a cold Hoegaarden, in a garden/park, by myself, with a book.

EwanHoozami · 13/06/2014 15:44

I would give my 87 year old next door neighbour a knock and spend 20 minutes having a cup of tea with her. Due to my hectic life and two small children I've only said a fleeting "how are you" to her in the six months I've lived here. She seems lovely and I'd really appreciate some time to sit down and get to know her, and find out if there's anything I can help her with.

She may of course have much better ways to spend 20 minutes!

Nouseforausername · 13/06/2014 16:00

Dry my hair. the most it gets currently is put up when I wash it. I'm lucky if it gets brushed. That, or put on some make up. something for myself. any time I have free now is spent doing housework mainly when 1yo ds sleeps Smile

mjmooseface · 13/06/2014 16:28

Ooh! There are soo many ways I could spend an extra 20 minutes each week! If I wanted to be really productive? I would continue to learn Spanish, or start to learn Swedish or British Sign Language. Or write.

If I wanted to be really unproductive, I would sit and do absolutely nothing! If the little one was having his nap - which he usually is when I decide to do a clean - I would sit and relish in not doing anything for anyone and just relax. Or read. Or drink hot chocolate. (Yes, even in the height of summer!)

Or throw the ball for the dog out in the garden for a bit. I like to pretend to throw the ball and he goes running for ages looking for it, then he comes back looking confused. Bless. It's so funny! It's almost worth buying 'Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner' just to spend an extra 20 minutes a week doing that!

Kundry · 13/06/2014 16:37

Water the garden, then sit and enjoy it.

lpbarton · 13/06/2014 17:17

Oooh grab a cup of coffee and a slice of cake and actually put me feet up :D hehe like I imagine nearly every one else! Oooh 20 mins bliss!!!

gloriafloria · 13/06/2014 18:14

tv catch up starting with one born every minute. No one else in the house will watch it so it's my guilty pleasure when I have the house to myself. I always end up in tears but it reminds me of the overwelming happiness I felt each time I had my two. Only prob being 20 minutes wouldn't be long enough for a whole episode.

ilovesprouts · 13/06/2014 18:19

oooh spare 20 mins, hmmmm id use my foot spa.Grin
