Ds doesn't think there is a problem, can I help him?

ds is 14.5 he started a new school in September and seemed to be [ astonishingly] popular and happy. He started 'going out' with a girl in his year, that stressed him, that ended after a few weeks, she was boring according to him.
Anyway he is now back at school after christmas and saying nobody likes him he is seen as really annoying and saying other kids say he is very arrogant and stuck up, and he is, but he has AS. I think he is finding school stressful and getting hyper, he comes home every day very overexcited. He tends to get overexcited and in your face, but not nasty, which I understand is very annoying. He is now sitting with a boy that doesn't do homework or want to be there. How do I help him when he refuses to have anything to do with SEN dept. seems very able academically and flips from being unhappy to telling me I am not allowed to interfere ?, and you know he is horrible to me at home, I'm on my own.

My son doesn't think he has a problem either, and 'yeah' in his world I don't think he does.It's our fear as parents as we know what the world is like. My son gets over excited too and mostly he is really funny....he says really random things its almost hard to understand what he is talking about as he fly s from one subject to another. Can the teacher move the boy that is sat next to him? My son was terrible in French but lately a really calm and sensible boy is sat next to him and this has had a calming affect on him, to the point where he no longer distracts the whole class.Its odd because when we are all here as a family (two sons and one daughter) i am very much the parent but when it is just one one to we are more equals...He does not see me like my others do and can be quite mouthy.Your argument to him is you are allowed to interfere as you are his mother... that's what we do...and that you provide him with a home and food and that when he is working and providing then he has a say but until then you are allowed. Just got to be tough for he's own good ...have rules and say he must stick to them.... doesn't always work but if you can argue your corner well they normally listen.
