Hello Everyone.... Just after a bit of advice but have to be careful how I write. 14 year old nephew, severe non verbal autistic. Now displaying very dangerous behaviours when travelling in a car. Can anyone recommend a very good sturdy seat harness to secure him in the seat whilst travelling as he is apt to get out of seat, pull driver's hair VERY strongly and pull driver's shirt. A family member who was driving him this week had to pull over due to the behaviour. Things are getting to crisis point.

Have a look at a Crelling Harness. There is a website and a whole section for challenging behaviour in a car.

I second a crelling harness.

Also think about placement within the car and potential adaptations to the car. Some find having a car with a third row and having DC sat there helps. Some use Perspex screens to keep the driver out of the way.

Many many thanks.... We've found that website and are going to be contacting them on Tuesday after the BH.
