Soooooooo close to it being a happy holiday.

Away on holiday with DS17 (Autistic, ADHD and gastric issues). Was worried it would a disaster... he's hit the "my mother is just here to ruin my life" stage.

But we almost did it.... did lots of going to places to see things they like. Gave them time daily to do their thing and 1 day they planned out fully for themselves (and included us at several points).

Then final night, travel tablet taking.... huge melt down, some sneaky dropping the tablets. Didn't react. But they were in full melt down and confrontational.

We have to set off in an hour... they will not leave their room, pack etc....

Seeking patience..........on the balcony doing deep breathing and in MN world for solace.

Sounds like you planned well and there were lots of positives. Give yourself some credit for that, well done.
Meltdown may have been due to him not wanting to go home. So sounds like he had a good time.
Hope you are all settled at home with some good memories. Keep using the walking away and deep breathing.

He did exit the building.....walked out like nothing had happened and we went with the flow.
He hasn't surfaced from his room for a few hours. Transition from one place to another.......
