^ weeks to either refuse of reject my SA request.

10 weeks to assess and decide statement or no statement.

Do the 10 weeks start from the day they agree to assess?

Yes, so if they take less than six weeks to agree to SA, they still only have 10 weeks for assessments/deciding to statement.

My LA refused to assess then caved before tribunal, so the 10 weeks started when they caved in.

Hi there,

What made them cave in before Tribunal? I am SOOOOOOO hoping this happens to us too-but unfortunately dd is only being seen for a 2nd opinion and assessments at GOSH in Sep/Oct so I very much doubt I will have any reports back in time for Tribunal hearing in early Nov.
