OK a conundrum need advice

Desperately unhappy ds1

Fir4st appt with eating disorder team today, went to pick him up after lunch, nopt where he should be

Eventually found him holed up with TA in a stairwell, serioous bollcoking in poursuit. Struggle to get to bottom of it (as running very late by now) but it comes down to ds hit another kids with a stick; ds 1 crying, TA saying 'I know you are crying as you feel bad'; ds1 saying 'No, I should have hit them harrder'

Story seems to go that two kids at lunch making comments, ds1 pulled ace, kids took offence and got mothy, ds1 hit them with a stick (don't know where from)

Kept ds1 off after appt as they were watching a aply and frankly thought it best

Now story has emerged several hours later that these kids were bullying him with him slammed up against wall by collar and scaring him / hurting him

He is so distressed- really hysterrical

But he has done it before and it's lies / situation toally misunderstood due to lack of social awareness (always ahrd to tell)

he is in playrrom atm as I asked calming down quietly

School if I go in will say ds1 making it up

LEA funding 1-1 for lunchtimes from next term

What to do?

Pipin, it was right away they just couldn't find anyone for teh funding to pay until September- tehy#re already shoirt ats chool as one teacher and one (of only 2 now) Ta's gone sick

Seriously considering doingt he cikie thing; the attack was same day ds1 was ofocially dx'd with eating disorders by CAMHs so frankly, he's had enough for this term methinks. He ahs however made the most stunning necklace for his TA and wants to give it to her which I can understand.

sancti.. if your thinking he's had enough anddoing a sickie..but ds wants to give TA the necklace.. would the school be up for doing what my ds is doing and part timing till the end of term?

I think they might Arsenic (am going to pic of jeewlelry oinf acebook later- he seems to have a talent!). It would need to be for specific things I think- eg leaver's concert but I might speak to his TA.

We are avoiding things like awards day .. although ds2 actually has not only won an award but they have made a new award with him in mind.. But it will be a small group of adults if he can cope or will be something in the post if he can't.
Also things that are going to be noisey and totally mad like resposability hand over day etc etc..
His teacher and I want him to leave the school with something positive... Rather than just that he didn't cope.
Mind my ex is mad as hell ( ds2 has got back from there this evening) at him having Friday off and shouted and yelled at ds2 and told him he is going to call the school and make ds2 attend no matter what..
Poor ds then got yelled at by his paternal grandmother because he had shut down and was non responsive and the have told him they will move him there and that he has no issues at all.. Oh and I'm am a mad bitch.
Ds2 is okay now though and won't see them again till the end of summer holidays.. If he wants to go.

Good news though.. We got ds2s SATS results...( teacher gave them to me over the phone to cheer ds2 up!)
he has managed to get a level 5 for maths...... And for Reading!!!! ( which is ace as he has dyslexia.. He did have extra time given and a quiet room and a reader for maths and the non Reading bit of English)
and we are really pleased as he managed to get a level 3 for writing!
He is very pleased with himself!

Just looked at your face book ( jewllery) .. Fab stuff

SanctiMoanyArse · 12/07/2010 19:09

Oh that's good Arsenic . DS3 in his SNU at the end of ks1 has level 2 which we thought was completely imposible at rhe alst school- it's amazing what they can do isn't it?

We dont have awards day (and I doubt ds1 would get one anyway!) so that's solved; from what I can see there's not much on this week now, phew- handover day was in June; he's got the strict but lovely etacher who is cousin of his TA- exactly what we said we wanted LOL

And yes the jewellery is fab; I ahve spent too mcuh on ebay buying him more beads etc LOL
