OK what's the moon doing?

DS1 went off the boil yesterday. Lots of screaming, away with the fairies, super stimmy. Didn't go to sleep until late then was up at 5.45am screaming because cbeebies wasn't on. Very week before full moonish if you ask me. So when is it?

Full moon this Friday according to my calander Jimjams! Hope he settles down again soon.

I'm having trouble with my ds as well, he's such hard work, I can't seem to take him anywhere without getting disapproving looks, he's so hyper. I'm counting down the days till he starts school again.

ah good should be back to normal soon then. Just took him for a walk. Complete nightmare he kept slamming the breaks on, was trying to go the other way, tried to run in front of a bus on the road. It was more of a drag than a walk- and he is soooo strong. Thank god I had him on his belt. Otherwise no chance.

Is that right then that the moon can affect behaviour?

The date reduces by one day each month so this month 19th, Sep 18th, Oct 17th and so on.

They don´t call the female cycle the lunar cycle for nothing oliveoil! Males also have lunar cycles just without the sanitary side-effects.

Often see mothers posting that their child has slept badly and it has been a full moon.

My father suffered depression for much of my life. We always felt his moods were worse, he was more difficult to live with around the time of the full moon.

His aunt (who raised him) once told us that he was always more naughty during a full moon.

How long to bed? He has seriously lost the plot. And I can't keep up- I'm just sweeping up chaos. Currently I;m hidiing in here pretending not to hear anything.

I finally made it to bed at 4.39am this morning thanks to DS2... only to be woken at 6.45am by the bright eyed bushy tailed little tike....where does he get his energy from???

This full moon theory is really proving not to be the mumbo jumbo my DH thought it was!

I don't know how it works either- but ds1 now sleeps very well- he only ever wakes up the week before the full moon- and can be awake hours. Funnily enough my dp's person said today that she is affected by the moon- fells a bit anxious and flitty and wakes up. Just like ds1!

Today he's been all over the place absolutely away wiith the fairies. Have to say everthing to him twice, he won't walk in the street (is all over the place) stimming with spinny things constantly and throwing everything.

[lurk] My (NT) grandad used to sleepwalk and rant around the house every full moon to the point where my Gran used to watch the calender and remove all the ornaments in preparation for his nocturnal wanderings. Point is - the full moon def has an impact on sleeping patterns. Sorry you're having a hard time Jimjams.

I don't mind the moon stuff zippy as I know he'll be back to "normal" within the next couple of days. He's fallen asleep on his floor tonight which he hasn't done for ages!

dd2 behaviour is bad this week. she has been waking up crying the last 2 nights, mroe than usual. i am expecting the screaming to start in the next few nights, she has terrible night rages, like nigh terrors but she lashes out.

Aw - wee man, Jimjams. DS used to fall asleep on the floor behind his door and I couldn't get at him to move him without just about knocking him unconscious with the aforementioned door . Actually, I've been a bit of a bisom myself the last few days and this thread is making me feel much better - I hadn't thought it might be the full moon.

DS has been truly awful at the beginning of this week. He was great at the weekend but when I picked him up from the playscheme on Monday at 3pm the mood had changed. He then howled and cried for most of the time until 9pm last night when I knocked him out with some stuff the Paediatrician gave me for when I'm desperate. 2.5 days of it, sometimes bubbling under, sometimes low level and quite a lot hysterical. I was thinking of that thread about the AS mother and the things the kind neighbour hears. If you'd heard the noises coming from our house on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights you'd have been onto the Social, and I mostly wasn't even in the same room as him! Today he's been great....! Hope it lasts.

OK changed my mind. He has been manic since my last post. Is now upstairs trying to get out of his room shrieking and laughing manically and jumping up and down. - he's been going to bed really well for the last few months.

Ds1 has been sleeping badly the last couple of nights and it seems to have had a knock-on effect on his general behaviour. Yesterday he ran off screaming with me running to catch up. Luckily a very kind lady was able to stop him running straight out into the road.

Ds2 is hyper-boy today. He's spent a good part of the day running from one end of the house to the other while imitating Basil Brush. There are only so many "Ha ha ha! Boom! Boom!" renitions that I can tolerate in a day.
