What colour does our sensory kids hate?

My dm read it was blue!

In a film I saw the man hated yellow (ds loves creamy/yellow colour foods).

Need to know as I liked a school that was painted blue in every room.

Hmmmm, not sure about dislikes, but ds likes really strong colours such as orange red purple and pink. He prefers yellow/white food too (although I did too, maybe it's a child thing?)

It depends whether you are talking about a sensory seeking child, or a sensory sensitive child?

I think sensory seeking tend to go for bold, striking colours.

Obviously, sensory sensitive would generally opt for calming, unobtrusive colours.

I read that in general you need to opt for rooms that aren't too 'busy', because otherwise children can't cope with processing all the information and get overwhelmed.

Ds hates black.

All the food he eats is yellow and his favourite colours are green and pink.

Mine will only wear black, grey, white or navy.
Makes the laundry very easy.

Goblin, ds says black is 'evil'

DS has a Goth older sister.
It's like living in a Black Hole some winter days. That and trying to work out whose black thingumajig it is can lead to chaos.
That's why I still dress like a happy hippy, flowing patchwork skirts, rainbow boots and multicoloured layers that jingle.
They need to appreciate my individuality!

My extremely sensory seeking child loves orange and bright, warm colours. But orange is his absolute favourite. Woe betide anyone who gives him a not orange plate or bowl out of the multicoloured Ikea sets we have.

My sensory seeking son is obsessed with pink. Everything has to be pink, his cars and trains are called pink even when they're different colours. I sometimes think he be happiest living in an entirely pink world lol

Goblinchild, ds would love you! he is always urging me not to wear 'boy' clothes (jeans) and he loves it when i look like a 'princess' in a dress, the more flowing the better and you jingle, he would be beside him with a jingle as well

himself not him!
