What if I disagree with GP?

TBH my GP is a really obnoxious cow! I am taking my Ds to see her in a few days because I feel he may have Asperger's. However, if past visits are anything to go by we will be dismissed within 3 minutes flat.
If she disagrres with my feelings and refuses to refer him to a specialist, what di I do ?
Can I force her to refer him or what?

If she refuses you ask her to put her reasons in writing and demand a 2nd opinion.

Can you not change GP? If you think she's an obnoxious cow you really should....

I would write down why you thinik this and take it with you. I get really funny at GPs and always forget stuff.
Our GP wasnt keen to refer DD1 when we wnet but did do it anyways.

Is your child at school? As an alternative, you could ask to see the Community Paediatrician (school doctor) through the school nurser/health visitor.
