DS' OT report to the ASD panel:

"DS is a complex boy who on first appearance does not appear to be distinct from his peers. However, on investigation DS has a sensory processing disorder which has the classic profile of a child with a social communication disorder...."

Maybe we are, slowly getting somewhere!!

But....poor DS

I know, debs, it's hard to see it in writing.
My dd is 9 and has SPD as part of her AS. She also tends to 'blend in' unless someone is looking beneath the surface.

Does he have any more assessments coming up?

Done all the ADOS/ADI just waiting for final decision!

Debs, its relief and sadness all in one isnt it! When you read these reports, you think thank you i knew it, then feel sad that its been confirmed!

Seems like things are moving a bit faster for you now Debs, ADOS/ADI, EP and now OT.

They are, bit by bit, and now all at once. Diagnostic team report next week and then independent SALT week after.

I'll be banging in SA request at that point.

It just all takes so long though doesnt it, i just want ds assessed, recommendations made, strategies put in place and then to get on with our life, hopefully seeing some improvements because everyone is working together.

Oh yea, your SA request, keep us up to date with how that goes.
