First appointment of the week.. I met our new EP .. And guess what?

She is blooming fantastic! ( I shall share her with you all!)

ds2 had a mini meltdown, but a hour and a hallayered he managed to calm himself down.

and he's just been walking about in my wedges, " cos they make my feet feel wierd"

A fantastic LA EP? Really? Has she just quallified or sommat? Has she not yet attended the LA obligatory training in how to be vague and unhelpful? Has she not been awarded her LA visual timetable to photocopy for all parents she meets?

Hope you get to keep her!

I have to say that the EP who came and assessed DS1 for his statement struck me as really thorough, sympathetic, competent and wanting to listen. Her report was excellent and made it pretty much without change into the final statement.

I have to say that I sometimes wonder how, in my own working life, I might live up to the standards sometimes expected of professionals on here. I mean, I think I'm pretty ok at my job, but I have times when I get things wrong, or I give people less than my full attention, or do things late. Mostly I try hard to get the things that matter the most right, but you know, I'm only human, sometimes things slip.

Oops sorry to derail thread. Anyway, ACC, your new EP sounds great. I hope you can keep her!

I wonder if it is the same in most jobs tbh.. Although in an office type job..mistakes can be diffused. In my job a mistake shows up massively.. And I'm the only person to blame!
I wonder if the system and pressures get to them and they lose sight of why the do the job in some cases.

Deviate away

I'm making her sound like a test drive car or a much wanted pet.." oh mum.. But please can we keep her!"

but this is such a breath of fresh air!

I felt like that about my HV -- I'm really sad that when DS2 goes to school we'll be off her books. Apart from anything else she had the amazing gift of always sounding pleased to hear from me, however many times I phoned her up. Sob!

Yes we should hit the floor and cling to the legs of those who are good! With wailing loudly for good measure!
