Me and DH are considering going private to get a dx for our ds who has been seen by 2 child psychologists who agree he is ASD/AS. Trouble is there is a long waiting list for a dev paed.
We live in north west of uk and wondered if any one knew of any private consultants who specialise in autism/aspergers and roughly how much it would cost

If you contact NAS they will give you a list of names of CP's/ Dev Peads who will dx privately.

We saw a CP who had worked at Elliott House with Lorna Wing for 6 years...he was excellent and spent the whole day with us. He performed several assessments on J and we completed the DISCO assessment with him. He wrote a very comprehensive report following his day with us and made the DX.

It cost us £900.
