Hi,
I have got a recent IEP & review as well as a letter from our systemic pshycotherapist and need to forward this on to SENDIST as they have had all our other stuff already.
It says I have to forward any new stuff on to the LEA too-is this the norm?

Also is it just a matter of waiting now.....we have a date for 10 Nov for the hearing.....is this the last we will hear from them or what happens?

Thanks
x

Yes, you need to copy in the LA to any new evidence that you send to SENDIST. The reasoning is that the LA need a chance to review and respond to any new information before the hearing (although often they don't seem to bother). If the LA submit any new evidence to SENDIST, they will send a copy to you as well.

You should get a formal response from the LA, setting out why they're opposing your appeal. If it's regarding contents of a statement, SENDIST will expect you do agree as much as you can before the hearing, so they can focus on the most contentious points on the day.

The LA will also confirm which witnesses they'll be calling - you will get notification of this as well.
