Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Does anyone have SALT, Physio or OT quantified in part 3 of their child's statement?

Got a meeting with a case officer about DS' proposed statement. I just want to know what the likelihood of me getting these things quantified are rather than the vague stuff we have got at the moment like "X will need regular input from OT"

Did you write letters, phone calls or meet in person? If letters I don't suppose you have copies of them?

Nappy my DS has ASD; the quantified SALT provisions in our part 3 (4 times a term) were drafted as such by his NHS SALT (who also agreed to the change from 'up to 4 sessions a term' to '4 sessions a term'.
DS's language has been coming along; he has longer sentences but also he communicates in a wider range of situations (needs/refusals, commenting, saying how he feels, answering questions more than he used to, talking more to people outside the family), so I thought 4 times a term would be fine, as long as we have definite targets and work on them at home as well. We'll see...
