Alternatives to wrist straps?

My five year old DS still needs his wrist strap when we're out and about and I'm guessing he will do for some time, maybe years, yet. Has anyone come across anything that is a little more dignified for him?

You can get toddler rucksack reins .. Although I'm not sure how big these go up to.

But if he'll wear a rucksack most normal every day brands have a loop handle on the top of them which would be easy to attatch a rein lead to.

Might give you more choice.

crelling do a waist harness, like a belt with a 'lead'.

We use this for dd2 (and sometimes dd1).

Thanks all. Having looked at the rucksack thing, that looks just the job. Would it fit a rather slim five year old?

Fits a chunky three year old, my DS has the shark one and loves it. It has a little toothy shark hood in the back pocket too

Yes fitted my slim 5 year old. However soon after that he gained enough finger strength to unfasten it and kept slipping out of it. Might need to find additional way of fastening it.

I have one of those been used twice so vgc. You can have it for a fiver if you want it. BLue/grey colour

Thanks all. Yes ohme , a fiver sounds good, but I don't know how to go about the exchange. What should I do now? Thanks again.
