Hi, trying to do some work at the moment. I am desperately trying to complete my PhD but I have so many broken days it's hard to get going. Mumsnet is great but terrible for working - I'd much rather be posting!!

I have a cleaner house now than I did pre-kids. I worked full time and didn't have to worry about anyone eating crumbs off the floor and dust bunnies, back then!

(Also had a filthy slob of an ex, which didn't help matters.)

TheArsenicCupCake · 20/05/2010 12:18

Hey.. Okay if I pop in on my lunch hour?

My house is cleaner.. Until the hoards arrive back from school Although at the moment I have zip lock bags all over the dining table! Oh and lined up starwars figures.. Grrr

tWas in the beginings of Internet time that I met dh online lol.. I blame the Internet for a lot

meltedmarsbars · 20/05/2010 14:02

Ouryve, What's a dust bunnie?

waitingforgodot · 20/05/2010 14:10

My house is a tip, my garden has the neighbours talking due to all the weeds. And here I am on Mumsnet.

You know those little balls of fluff that you find in corners and behind the sofa when you haven't vacuumed for a while? Dust bunnies.

My house was clean-ish when I posted before. The kids are home, now and the floor is covered with crumbs form their afternoon snack, ALL of the stickers out of a sticker book DS2 had - the mess is a joint venture with DS1 - so nice to see them playing cooperatively and assorted matchbox cars. There's also another bit of floor covered in a mix of jigsaw pieces and shoes, but that's just out of sight

I only cleaN up when someone is coming over, like the portage lady this morning. its in a state now shes gone!

ABatInBunkFive · 20/05/2010 16:21

I wiped the dust off the T.V. today someone touched it and left a clean handprint and that was V annoying so cleaned it had to be.

I'm sorry you feel like that.

I know what you mean about not being able to ignore threads that get to you though.

sneezecake · 20/05/2010 16:39
