Looking for ideas for a good SALT who also does Tribunal work to do an ASD assessment for DS.

South West (Wilts) to London area.

bumping for this - any suggestions? I've looked at the NAS Directory but there is no one local which means going further afield - not a problem but I'd like to work on a recommendation really.

we used these people for both SALT and OT. THey did a combi assessment, so SALT sat in on the secoond OT session dd1 had, to see her natural language use as well as assessing her separately.

I haven't yet received the reports (prepared for our nor redundant Tribunal) - they shouyld be in by the end of this week, but the SALT was experienced and seemed to know what she was talking about. (sounds vague and wooly, but they carried out the assessment with just dd1 - with my approval - so don't know what she was really like!)

Cannot recommend the OT enough though - has already worked magic with dd1 after only the assessment (2 sessions) and one session of "programme" work.

I know that SOS SEN are able to recommend names if you give them a ring.

I know someone who has used this SALT - apparently she is very experienced with tribunals and my friend is very happy with her.

I won't be bringing a SALT to tribunal so I can't offer a personal recommendation I'm afraid.

Thanks. Sugar someone else made that recommendation but I can't get a reply from her.

Will check out other suggestions - thanks!

We have used this person for our tribunal and had to chase her several times to get the report. She arrived to school very late that she could not observe my daughter in school.
She wrote unnecessary long report in favour of school which cost us our tribunal.

silverfrog - can you let me know how you got on with your report from the SALT when you get it?

will do, debs. we asked for reports to be in by this Friday, and am off to see OT again on Friday, so should have something then.

I htink they will happily organise separate SALT if oyu don't need the OT, we just happened otneed both, so went ofr a combi assessment.

Will let you know whenthe report is in.
