Panel today

Ds came through the first panel where they looked at type of provision needed and there they agreed ds needed speech unit

After trawling round them found one that would meet ds needs best and was the one Lea and specialist teacher team had mentioned as well that they felt would suit ds .First time I have ever agreed with LEA

Today is the panel to actually assign places for the units and know there's only 3 places up for grabs for September in unit I want and feel sick because if ds does not get a place no idea where we go from here ad the other units by their own admission are not suitable for ds and dpeacialist team feel strongly that ds I'd not suitable for Ms or for Mld schol

Ds caseworker is at panel so am hoping either later today or tomorrow might try calling around 5 .if ds does not get a place have no idea where he will go

zthere treating as urgent as ds is currently out of school. As by their own amissions have nothing suitable available ATM can't even supply a trained tutor

Good luck, bet you get it though- 3 places only an issue if more than 3 want them! There are actuallly spare places at ds3's wonderful unit atm!

Am sending good luck your way.yes there's shortage of salt units were still in county but it's not nearest but most suitable as is fulltime unit rather than resource base know there's a lot of competion for the spaces
But
.Just heard that we have a place for September )))))) and there going to see if the school will consider ds starting sooner as one of the dc in unit is now only accessing the salt one hr a week and is fully ms for the rest.

Final statement should be out within the next 3 weeks with unit in black and White only then will i truelyrelax mind then be time start arguing the Ot provision but the salt was main need.

Ours in 30 minutes, just foudn out they funded a less severe child to go to the lcoal private so will sob if we are refused

And after last few days have no idea how we will cope but face that hurdle when we get there I guess
