I hope its ok to post this here!. I have a 3.5 year old who has been behind in some areas of his development after his last check he was reffered to an early intervention team but we never heard anything more about it so no idea whats going on there I have a feeling that nothing will come of it.
Anyway he has this total obsession with pulling peoples faces to look at him - even if you ARE looking at him he will grab your face and turn it so you look right in his eyes. If you are not looking at him he just keeps clawing at your chin or cheeks until he turns it. Obviously now he is getting closer to 4 and looks older than that it is quite embarassing and nothing I do seems to stop him doing it. I know that a baby will grab at your face but even my 14 month old is learning that general poking of eyes or pulling at mouths is not acceptable but my son will not learn and tbh its starting to make me quite angry with him especially when he does it in public or to other people!
Does anyone have any idea why he is doing this and apart from making sure he can never reach anyones face (which is harder than it sounds) how can I stop this?
