Mild hemiplegia and incontinence problems

My dd is 9 and has mild hemiplegia. She was toilet trained day and night by approx 3 yrs, but she has a problem when she laughs she wets her knickers. I thought she would grow out of it and the doctor prescribed her some medication which hasn't worked. It has got to the point where I don't want her to go to friends' houses incase it happens. Has anyone else any experience or advice on this? Would a paed urologist be the best person to see? Hope to hear from someone.

Hemihelp offer excellent advice.
My dd1 (9) has severe hemiplegia as well as other issues, but is still in pads, so I cannot offer advice, sorry.
Best wishes
