has anyone done this and what does it entail??

do you mean restraint training.
i,m trained in both behavioural restraint and CALM training.
we used both in my work untill last year. i work in special education and with very disturbed /violent children also have a young man of my own who required it when he was younger
we stopped using it and now evacuate the other children when someone kicks off in class. we stopped due to the sueing nation we are now living in.

I have done the calm training and am about to do the escape training. We have been told to wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes??
