we won appeal last thursday and we recieved our letter the next day. have just rang DLA and they said they only recieved theirs today Now saying another 7-10days for someone to look at it again and agree its ok and then another 3-5 working days for payment!! I mean AIBU to think that after we have spent nearly a year fighting this they should bloodly pull their finger out?? My bills are pilled up and food shopping will have to go on CC again this month.

How long did yours take??

It did take a few weeks after the Tribunal to sort out but the backpayment was very nice.

Also, do apply for a 'Special Payment'. This is an official DWP thing where you can claim for 1) direct costs and b) for compensation.

So you can claim for any costs incurred e.g. credit card interest, photocopying, phone calls and then also loss of interest that you would have earned if you had had that money when you should have had it.

Also, for inconvenience etc.

I ended up with quite a large sum, certainly a few hundred, as they accepted that they should have awarded it in the first place..

You'll have to google as I can't remember where I got the info from, but it's all legit and they just don't tell you about it!
