Has anyone seen anything useful for helping to teach a child how to fasten their laces?
We're waiting for a new OT assessment but as DS was only referred yesterday.
We've always just avoided laces, after previous failed attempts to teach him, but his new Karate suit has galvanised him into wanting to learn, he's 13 so I'd like to avoid anything babyish

I taught my 13 yr old with downs syndrome to make 2 bunny ears then tie them in a knot.
They often come undone but sometimes he does a great job. Started with chunky red laces stapled onto a cardboard foot.

my ds announced he wanted lace ups at 14 he came home from school able to do them in a day, they got some card, cut holes out and put a lace through some are just determined to do things when ready.
