When going out with SN dc's, do you expect/get a discount for the carer?

What sort of places?

And what sort of places refuse?

Cinema card gets carer in free, theatres often do a reduced or free carer ticket. Also lots of days out safarii parks, zoos etc do.

Same as 2shoes, I don't expect but I always ask, and either get in free or hugely discounted. Can't think of anywhere where I've asked that has not had some sort of discount.

We've done it in Theme Parks, (Camelot and Alton Towers) Disney in Paris also do free carer tickets to accompany disabled guest, but we haven't used it because packages often work out cheaper anyway.
We have a cinema card that gets me in free when taking DD.

Ummmm, there are loads more, just can't think off the top of my head!

We went to Longleat last year and managed to get half price tickets for both dd's (on DLA) and half price for me and my mum for being carers (even though my mum does not get carers allowence).

yes very few recognise disabled child .Guess they tend to go with dc need a adult anyway .\but am not afraid to ask either
