since jack was little he was always delayed never crawled, sat up aided at a year and walked at 2 and never spoke until 2

during that time they thought he had severe autism but then decided on development delay.
im sure there is something not right in my family there is add, adhd, dysparxia, dyslexia, aspergers and other asd and i see signs in jack.

well month ago we had an appoinment with pead and she was concerned

pead report says
gross motor- 30month mild delay
manip skills- 30months mild delay
visual skills- 36month appropriate (hes 42month)
hearing and language- 30 mild mild
speech an lan- 18month - severe delay
social inter skill- 26month - moderate
selfcare social skill- 48month (dont understand why so high)

has clinodactyly
prominent forehead
fading haemangioma there no other neurocutaneous stigmata or dysmorphic features

main part says i have noted that jack has good eye contact. i have also noted that he lines up bricks and also lines up small containers in clinic room today. he did not get upset during change to another task. i have also noted that he is always holding the blue bag with him except when he did development test. i also noted that jack holds mums chin and neck to face when he wants to talk to her

well salt saying hes fine just speech and told pead there are no worries, so im back to square 1 wondering if i should just accept that i must be wrong

do you have any follow-up with the paed? did paed suggest any other referrals to deal with delays he/she found?

would have thought paed would take into account salt views but would be happy to use their own clinical judgment. it can be hard to separate out how much of a social delay is purely a knock on effect of the language delay so possibly that's why salt is saying he's fine.

our next appointment with pead is in 5months but we can be seen sooner.

hes been refered to OT aswell as needing a hearing test as he perforated his eardrum.

salt dont understand the odd behavior we see daily

he eats anything will rip pillows apart to eat the fluff, the matress hes ripped cover to eat the foam

shopping or anywhere outside with people around is a nightmare he just runs around in circles then attacks us

hes quite violent he attacked his brother with a cup (on his head) because brother picked up a toy he wasnt even near or using.

and other odd behaviour so much to list

SALTs only have expertise in SALT. you need to listen to your paed.

the pead said she wanted to liase with slt then decide what next
slt seems to think shes an expert on asd an development delay, apparently she deals with so many children with it but my son is fine

wish i could get the silly c*w to come out with us for a day and see what really goes on
