SN buggy or wheelchair

Any advice? DD is nearly 4. She has a SN buggy which is great, but it's a 3 wheeler and quite large so not ideal for public transport etc. Anyway, she needs something new for starting school as she will be travelling by bus and her current buggy is too large and not crash rated. I'm leaning towards a wheelchair, but DH is adamant it should be another buggy - no good reason, just can't face the idea of a wheelchair yet, but she'll need one sooner or later. OT is leaving the decision to us as. Would love to hear of others experiences around this age.

I still have an sn buggy (Stealth lightening) for dd2 (7) but she also has had a power chair from 4, which she can control herself.

Neither folds, both have specialised seating.

Both are crash-tested, she travels in both - I don't lift her anymore.

Envisage how big and heavy your dd will be in 3 years, how she will travel, where you will go with the chair, the terrain, the vehicules, etc. Who does most of the pushing? Does it need to fold, special seating?

We will be getting a manual wheelchair next time instead of the buggy, but we keep the power chair, but it gets upgraded seating next week.

both!

wheelchair for starting school, much more grown up and buggy for off road/snow as wheelchairs are generally rubbish on anything other than tarmac!

Lifes easier with wheelchair for us meant bus drivers shows etc saw ds as disabled

ds2 much prefers his w/chair to his sn buggy.
Easier for us too, he has a blade+, but he doesn't need any additional support/seating options.
