ok tell me its not as bad as it seems please

ds has been under care of wheelchair services , physio,ot,orthicts salt and a devlopmetnal paed and cleft lip\palate team as well as a neuro.

The neuro and cleft team we kept but other than wheelchair services which have sorted it out themselves we have lost rest of care

Gp wont refer till has notes ,and seems notes are in limbo somewhere .New hv is nice but unfortunatley naieve did referals back to devlopmental paed saying oh be rushed through in 2 weeks \8insert hollow laugh" and i chased today and referals are 16 weeks soi ds not seen till June by Dr galloway . then just maybe get referals but each department has warned me were looking at least 6 month waits!!!! as time rules not aply to services .Salt well year if were lucky

on the [postive side the voluntry sector seems very strong over here

Pheonix It's about shouting a lot, and finding out how to affect their tick boxes. The area love their tick boxes.

Surely your old specialists should have referred you to the new, otherwise can you stay with them until you get an appointment with the new?

Phoenix4725 · 31/03/2010 18:53

They should of but both physio and ot on maternity leave so not going to happen.Salt was throught his statement but thats currently being sat on by panel on 22nd .

Cant really travel back plus NE essex are notorious for once you crossed boundries not giving a fig

Is the statement being opened? I mean are any changes at all being made to it? i.e. part 4? or any other part?

DelsParadiseWife · 31/03/2010 19:08

Essex might not give a fig, but it seems like Herts don't either. Fight the softest target to get what you need. Something in writing perhaps?

eggandcress · 31/03/2010 20:07

I am from this area too are you interested in playschemes for respite, I am not sure how old your ds is but there are two good ones for special needs. My ds is 10

Phoenix4725 · 01/04/2010 05:46

Hi yep think my next stage is to write and complain start at the top instead of the bottom

The panel is for section 4 change of placement am looking at speech units or special schools though they have tried get me to agree to ms again but went looked at options and neither would work and am refusing to name them.

But then they are planning to hold a full review even though he had one in January have also formerly requested in writing copies of all reports submitted for that review and now use email to confirm any conversations just in case of tribunal

I have found chips going to register him and ds is going to grove cottage twice a week during school time first time being a summer born worked in his favour so gives me bit of space first time had a break since before Christmas!!!.

yes please if you know of any more paticulary ones that's ds and dd7 can go to together

Yes those are the two we use, Chips and Grove Cottage, both are excellent. I also have a dd7 who goes along to Chips with ds, there are quite a few siblings who go especially to the holiday playscheme, she seems to love it as they do lots of crafts.
I hope all the services get sorted out for you, the 6 month waits seem outrageous I remember agonizing over section 4 as well.

Phoenix4725 · 01/04/2010 09:24

Ah yes ds just started there. Missed the Easter chips but hoping to get something in the summer gives me a break to do things and chance to spend some time with. My older dc

please don't out me on if you put the 2 together and work out who I am here as chances are will know me rl some point that I don't mind but on here like to stay

there is Sharon and Ruth Bradford, both lovely ladies who dont insist that you need all paperwork in, and are good at helping where possible 01707 369215 is their office number.

east herts is better than North Herts in most area's and if you want to email me again, there is a lot of groups around too

Phoenix4725 · 02/04/2010 06:39

Ok will do and thank you

.think it's my just my gp we fell out when one of the Drs told me to make my son do something that I already explained he could not he then said well how am I meant to examine him then and his 25 years of experiance these children don't do that .think telling him maybe he should update his knowledge if sn then not go down well or the letter of complaint I sent

Ds it seems is the only sn child in surgery Guess whose now trying to find out if any other surgerys cover my village

Can you put in an official request for your medical records. They might charge you but they'll have to supply them within 30 days I think.

roundthebend4 · 07/04/2010 09:27

smack trouble is for some reason they have been sent elsewhere ds hospital records .Gp does have now his gp records but still not sumrised them as there still on old fashioned notes am tempted to see if theres another gp in other direction that covers us as their attuide stinks full stop

Lisasd
ty for the numbers gave them a call there going to talk to ds hv so least can get the nappies sorted out so thats one less hassle and will give them some advice to what they can do while we wait for things to process in the system been told end of May/june hopefully but then ds has neuro May so see if he will weigh in again!!
