Clinical waste on holiday?

Has anyone ever managed to get this disposed of locally? I mean in the UK, I can't imagine how you'd do it overseas . We get clinical waste collected at home, but we're planning to spend large chunks of the summer at my parents' place in Wales and I can see it being more than the bins will take. It's mostly nappies, which get incinerated at the local hospital I think; I'm not sure you're actually allowed to take it to the tip past a certain age. I imagine it would be a push to get it collected up there, but is it possible to arrange to drop them off?

Do you mean drop it off at the local hospital? You may be able to - I once took a sharps bin to my local hospital because it got left behind by a diabetic pupil. They seemed ok with it. I could see the hospital accepting it, is it worth giving them a call?

Good thinking Shaz. I've found the email address of the council's waste team. They should know which hospital it goes to.
