School (and us) have been trying to teach him colours for what seems like an age, with absolutely no success. Today he completed a matching board of 30 colours with no prompting whatsoever! It was so lovely how excited everyone was (he is at mainstream school)- his teacher dragged me into the classroom during her lunch break to look and they've put it on the school 'Work of the Week' board and website .

He still doesn't really know the names of each colour but at least he can differentiate between them. I was beginning to think he couldn't 'see' colours.
Strangely enough, we have increased his Vit A drops this week (part of our nutritionist's revision of his supplements to counteract loose bowels). have just written him an email to ask whether this could have improved his visual perception.

He's also started recognising letters and matching whole words. Boast boast....

Did it again today with a different TA - so hopefully not a fluke! (crossed fingers. His visual perception seems spot on atm - something he's always struggled with.
