How long to wait for EP report?

Hi all. EP came into school four weeks ago and told us that she'd send on her report and if there was anything we needed to add to let her know. She also stated that she was going on maternity leave in 5 weeks so I took that as a good sign and that we would get report quickly. You've guessed it - no report received and this is her last week before going on leave. Senco seems surprised that I keep asking her for update but imo I should have received this by now. What's the average wait for an EP report?

It took 4 weeks for me to get DS2's report - I had EP's e-mail and did send a query when I would receive report - eventually had a copy e-mailed to me. Give the EP department a ring and ask if it has been completed yet and when you can expect your copy.

This is still all new to me but I am learning you have to get your name known and keep in contact with the professionals! Our senco is so difficult to pin down I am trying to do as much of the leg work as possible!

Hope that helps and give them a ring tomorrow x

Thanks Starfish. Yes I will be ringing tomorrow to chase as we have paed appointment at end of month and thought report might be useful. I am fairly new to SN threads but have read loads on here that will be really useful as like everyone else I expect a long battle ahead

DS3 had his assesment four weeks ago.
I am still waiting for his report and have been informed that it can take a number of weeks. Don't know if this is the norm but it could be

I called EP's office on Tuesday, explained I had been waiting 4 weeks and asked what the normal waiting time is. Was told that we should have had it by 4 weeks .Had no response from EP so 'phoned again this morning and was told that she had been given the message that I was chasing the report. Called again this pm to give my home number in case she missed me at work! Still not had a reply and next week is her last week before maternity leave. Don't see how she will be able to add any points we raise before she leaves if she hasn't even sent it to us. I have stressed that I need this urgently to take to paed appointment next week. I will call again first thing tomorrow requesting name & e-mail address of manager who I can escalate my concerns to. Perhaps that will make EP speed things up.
