Thinking of going for a weekend break in Somerset and stumbled across the Foxes Academy in Minehead. It's a hotel and a training placement for adults with LD.

Anyone know what it's like? My ds had gdd poss dyspraxia and asd so interested in learning more. BUT also looking for a lovely break - relaxing and comfortable even if not luxurious.

Well I go to Minehead quite often and I've seen the hotel, it looks beautiful and is right next to the sea, but a little way away from the noiser arcadey bit.

Have never been in (always mean to but you know what it's like) but there was a documentary all about it a couple of years ago.

my dsis is there! it is an excellent place, very professional in both the service they provide and the care they take of their students

Thanks Pixel - had a quick look at documentary and the place seems great and completely bonkers (but then workplace docs always make staff look wacky)

Mayornaze - my dsis has DS so I'll be looking with an eye to see if it could suit her
