We have been trying to get housed by the council for 6 months (not long but feels like it), dd2 needs her own room as she has been sleeping in our very small sitting room along with me (on the sofa) for the past 4 years (since she was born). The whole situation has been getting me down as well as having back problems for sleeping on the sofa and dd2 really needs her own safe (ASD friendly) space.
Anyway this week (after weeks of nothing) a 3 bed house has become available, its not really what we wanted but we have decided this could be our only chance, it would mean moving dd1 from her lovely little school which will be very stressful for her but i feel it will be worth it for a better quality of life for both dd's. Its a huge old council house with a huge garden and its in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of a small village.
We have to put our name down for the property (bidding system) and then next tuesday we find out if we have got it. I'm not sure if we actually stand a chance of getting it, dh doesn't want me to get my hopes up as there could be other families worse off than us that apply. We are at the top of the housing list but i don't know if thats enough .
Please can you send us some good luck vibes ?
