Hi,
Can any of you recommend a private slt for my dd please. She is 8yrs old autistic girl, who has made great progress with her vocals in last few months. She can say all of her phonics now but we don't know what to do next. We live in East London.Any recommendations or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you northernsky,I have tried and there are many slts but I want a recommendation from someone for a really good slt. They charge alot for assessments and I want to pay someone really good for assessment and then carry on the treatment for as long as its needed.Thankyou lisad123 for answering my thread, please let me know once your friend is back.

We've just started seeing someone who's just set up privately who's based in Clapham if that's any good? (She lives in Sutton.)
(My experience is that most established private SALTs have waiting lists of a few months.)

Gosh she sounds like she's doing well.

I have a 10 year old non verbal child with asd and have found private slt a bit hit and miss. I can't recommend anyone near you as I'm elsewhere.

Another option is nancy Kaufman in the states. She is a verbal dyspraxia queen and has worked a lot with autistic kids. She does video assessments. Might be an option if you can't find anyone with the necessary skills nearby.
