Nappy rant

I've been receiving nappies form the incontincence service for DS1 for over 2 years without a hitch, now. They just turn up every 8 weeks and it's really easy to get hold of someone if I need to change something.

I got my first delivery for DS2, last November, under a different system. They arrive every 12 weeks and I have to call someone a week in advance to confirm. So, due a delivery, yesterday, I called the number of my nominated contact, last week, and after several tries got through to an answerphone and left my details. Lo and behold, nothing turned up, yesterday.

So, I called the number again, this morning, the one printed on the invoice with the last delivery, and eventually got through to an actual person. This person cut me off and told me that I must have been given that number by mistake because she doesn't deal with my area.

So, I called the new number she gave me, only to get yet another answering machine, with a message that the office is closed until next Monday.

It's so flaming inefficient and I'm just plain grumpy, now.

Crap (no pun intended!) - would be annoyed.

I wouldn't mind having to jump through hoops for free nappies if I'd been given the correct hoops to jump through in the first place.

Whoever picks up my message on Monday morning will probably think I'm a right twat because my first words in my message were along the lines of "oh great, just want I was hoping for, yet another answerphone!".

At least DH could just stop off at ASDA on his way home from work and buy some, but for someone on a limited income who would have to budget more carefully, this would be more than just annoying.
