XH

He has decided that swimming is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing in DS's life

err, no try everyday life, school, friends, family.....

DS is 10 has AS and is doing really well, he copes fine if hes prepared for things and supported if it goes wrong

His Dad doesnt believe the DX and just thinks if i was a better Mum none of this nonsense would have happened.....

I had got DS a little happy about going swimming, just OK but doing well, his dad decided he needed toughing up and got a coach to bring him to the deep end, DS ran off crying,

DS then got an ear infection for a week, the next time he went swimming with his dad he got an ear infection and was off school for 3 weeks

His dad rang tonight to say he had contacted my GP, the Autism Service and DS will start surfing this weekend

I dont want him to because he has no idea how DS needs things to be and i cant afford more time off work if he gets an ear infection again or i will lose mt job

aghh, im tired and stressed out so have prob said it all wrong

GP hasnt seen DS since Nov but DS has had ear pain approx every 10 days, not enough for GP visit but i am keeping an eye on it

So i dont want him to go swimming now till i think his ear is ok

there is court orders in place...

Go to GP for ear pain. They will not mind in the slightest checking him out. If there is any inflammation, swimming is out of the question. Start there. It is a practical place to start rather than an emotional one as it seems to be a bit of a battle field, poor you. Good luck!
